She seems like a nice woman, but failed to make the subject matter as interesting as it could be. She knows her stuff, I will give her that, it is just that sometimes she fails to get the attention of the class. It was probably a mixture of half the class being numbskulls and her not being seasoned enough as an instructor. Years from now, when she is polished (again, she is fairly new), I trust she will direct the class better, but right now it is kind of rough around the edges. She grades fairly lenient, and an A is possible, but her tests can be a bit tricky on the multiple choice portion. Ms. Perales is all right.

Ms. Perales is good teacher. She is fair and enthusiastic about the subject she teaches. Her tests are hard on the multiple choice parts, but she gives you the essay questions before hand. She is willing to help the students out. Every thing she taught was interesting and informative. I would suggest taking this teacher!

I'll say one thing about Ms. Perales...she's super nice. However, this was like the most torturous class I've ever had. The word boring does not do the material justice. The reading both sucks and blows. But the good news is, Ms. Perales is new at teaching, so she has nowhere to go but up! She really is very nice...

This class is by far the most boring class I have ever taken in my entire life. Even though this class was in the afternoon, I had a difficult time trying to stay awake and listen to the horribly mind-numbing lecture. When asked a question, Ms. Perales never gives a straight-forward answer. In fact, she never truely answers the question. It's almost like she's throwing facts at you to make you forget what you asked her. She'd then ask if she had answered the question and a few people would say yes just so she wouldn't continue the bs. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. There are plenty of other classes to fulfill this GE requirement

ok what can i say, im taking her rite now... first off the material is really like random to me, and it's all like common sense materials and i read and such but i always seem to be getting Cs, here are the requirements, u have to do an oral history project that is 25%, midterm was worth 30% and final worth about 30% and 2 quizzes that are like what.. 15%? or 10% u do the math, but anyways, that's that.. just read and blah, her lectures never make sense to me and i go online to search for material that relates to what she wants us to study for the material, but if u don't got time to read, if ur good at multiple choice then u'll pass the class, it's usually that that throws my score, the essay part is just fine, as long as u know the big picture of the topic, that's it..

I think Perales failed to make the subject interesting. Her lectures didn't make sense and it was also very boring. Her wordings in her multiple test were weird. A LOT OF READING in this class. NO group discussion at all (prob once or twice), which makes the class even more boring. She's new and young but isn't enthusiastic. If you are aiming an A, you have go to at least 3 events around campus and do a write up afterward. She's a very nice person but not a good teacher. Her class is a torture because it's 1.5 hour long and I had to sit there to pretend I am awake. Most students pretended they are awake by opening their eyes staring at blank spot. Most are all blanked out b/c it was really boring. I would not recommend you taking her.

I thought that she did a terrible job with the material. This class had the potential to be interesting, however Perales screwed it up royally. It was extremely boring, and she chose material that seemed really obsure. Also, whenever anyone asked a question, not once did she know the answer. She would say, "Oh, um, well, I am going to have to check on that." It was really annoying, and she never followed up on any of those questions either. She was basically worthless. Plus, her tests have really specific questions on obscure dates and events. Overall, she was really terrible.

The class was very easy!! and according to my grades i should have earned a B at the lowest. Yet somehow I recieved a C- !!!!! explain that to me. when i contacted her to tell her she gave me the wrong grade she just ignored me and was rude the way she was all quarter. I emailed her at least 7 times and never got a response. all i can say is avoid her and if you have to take her then give her hell. remembering how she screwed me just pisses me off so much. 2 words. arrogant bitch.
