Dr. Kjeldsen is a genuinely caring teacher who also has a sense of humor! He handed out free books to the entire class on the first day (a book he wrote) and he makes sure that students have every opportunity to do well in the course. He tells students what they need to know, and if they have any questions then he is more than willing to help them. Also, I wanted to know how I did on an extra credit project, so he took my home address and sent me a letter telling me what he thought of it- this just highlights his genuine concern for his students. He is not the "typical" professor and some students have difficulty understanding him, but if you don't understand something just ask! He will help you. GOOD LUCK!

Dr. Kjeldsen is fun, smart, and a good teacher! You may wonder sometimes if he is kidding, and if you lack in a sense of humor then you might not find him funny. But, he is also a very smart man with a lot of experience in the International Finance realm, so if you appreciate learning from an individual with real-life experience, then he is the man for you! The class is not very hard, but you can learn a lot if you are interested in the subject and take advantage of Dr. Kjeldsen's knowledge. If your interest is not high in the subject, then you should still be able to get a descent grade...he offers students the opportunity to obtain extra credit simply by showing up to class, and he offers an optional extra credit project.

HUH??? When you walk out of class, the only memory that lingers is his eccentricities and his "flailing." This class is definitely a laugh and Kjeldsen is certainly entertaining, I just have no idea what he is talking about. He talks so fast and his lectures are so unstructured that it is hard to get much out of them. Still, like I said, he is nice and gives you lots of breaks. He grades pretty easy, gives extra credit, that sort of thing. There is one midterm and one final. That's it. Another class that I got through with a decent grade but didn't learn anything from.
