The GRC 377 lab class itself is crazy in terms of workload. You cover four desktop publishing programs, and complete four projects (Word, Illustrator, PageMaker, and a project in which you evaluate newsletters in aesthetic terms), PLUS you complete a final project, which takes considerable time and effort--and the lab grade is only about a third of the total course grade. This lab course might be better run by focusing all work with the programs on the production of the final project, rather than on creating intermediary projects. All that said about the course itself, Tony is a really nice guy, and tries his hardest to help students figure out problems when working with the various programs in lab. If he doesn't know the answer, he'll sit with you and work on it until you both learn it. If that doesn't work, he'll find the answer out for you. In a lab class, you can't really ask for much more than an instructor who will help you when you have problems in your work.
