If there was one word to describe this lady its, "CRAZY". She is absolutly nuts. She has favorites and mortal enemies in her class. She gives stupied work that basially just wastes time. You read books that you would read in high school. Ow, don't even think about talking in class, you might get reported to judisial affairs. She actually was going to report me and another girl for taking in class. This was such a crock of shit and a huge waste of time, all because she can't controle her students. She had no case and had to drop it. She also pulled me and the other gal out of class embarrassing us in front of the whole class. One of the weirdest things about her is she always has this strange look on her face, kinda like a deer in the headlights type deal. She will also use the class as theropy, talking about all her problems at home and how her son moved out and he's only 17. She has some major controle issues. I'd just be carefull with this one, she's just plain nuts. If by some how you end up with her I'll pray for you. One last note if you want to bug the hell out of her click your pen a lot in class she hates it!

Ms. Kreeger is one of the best techers I've had at Cal Poly. She teaches writing very well and makes it very easy to get get a high grade. You have to read a couple books and write 3 out of class essays and like 5 in-class essays. Her grading is very fair and if you go to her office hours before the due date shell proof read your essays for you. She quizzes on the reading so those points help raise your grade. I really recommend taking Kreeger for English 134.

I can't stress it enough: Have her proof-read your essays in her office hours. If you do that, it's a guaranteed A on the paper. Also, do the reading!! She gives quizzes on the readings all the time, and they are great for boosting your grade. She's a pretty good teacher, but I'm sure there are better. In any event, it is still pretty easy.

She was an excellent teacher who really cares about her students. She makes the tests and essays very clear on what they should or will be like. I would recomend her to any friend

She's easier than other English teacher but she isn't the easiest teacher. If you want to get an A on your essay all you have to do is go to her office hours and also go to writing lab. That will guarantee you an A. Her quizzes are straight forward. If you read the material you will get an A on her quizzes. There is no final. There is about 5-6 in class essay and 3 out of class essays. The novels that we are required to read isn't that bad at all. We read Frankenstein and Into the Wild. I would recommend you taking this class because it is possible to get an A.

Ms. Kreeger (or Mrs. Lawler as she is now called, she told us one day that she had eloped and changed her name)is a complete psycho. Her class is one of the most boring and jaw droppingly juvenile experiences that I have ever had. Like someone had mentioned, she uses this class as a therapy session. Her rebellious son, her excentric boyfriend(now husband), and her racist and stereotypical parents take up most of class time. If not her lectures consist of blabbering, incoherent sentences that go on untill she hyperventalates and has to stop to catch her breath. A good topic sentence to her once included "walk to the beat of a different drum." This class is so boring and so mindnumming that I request you find a different teacher.

Fire this twit! She is an absolute pyscho for the word "go". CalPoly should be sued for hiring her and Pres. Baker should be fired for retaining her. Never have I learned so little and wasted so much time. She has petty gripes and is typical of a woman scorned. She will make your life a living hell if you upset her or hurt her feelings. View her class like this- She's the needy, pyscho girlfriend and the class is the unappreciating boyfriend. You can't do anything right so you'll just need to kiss her 'shrooned ass. She is so shallow that if you give her positive comments about her looks or dress, she'll give you an "A". Never in my life have I met someone in such a dire need for a good "salad tossing".

Kreeger was EVIL! Everyone in our class HATED her. All she did was play favorites and bitch at students because she was a failure. She couldn't teach... I learned more about English in first grade! Next, she doesn't even have a PhD. This is such a crock of shit! If Poly is going to hire lecturers they should hire good ones. She can't teach and she is much more into impressing people than teaching them. She reminds me of the kid who never fit in and now as an adult desperately needs to be seen as "cool" even though it should be irrelevant. She teaches junior high English and Cal Poly English. Anyone else see a problem?!?!?!

I took technical communication because English 145 was filled up by the time I registered. I was worried that I wouldn't like it, but I actually did. I like classes where I learn things I know that I can apply to the real world. Lawler is big on group work (which I don't like) but it wasn't too bad. Our biggest project of the quarter was to create a tool in a group. The we wrote memos, proposals, technical description, instruction manuals . . . Seems like a lot, but it really wasn't. We were given plenty of time to work with our groups in class. For every chapter we read in the book we had to take a quiz. Not too hard and they didn't seem to factor into our grades too much. No midterm! We also had to write a group essay and create a resume and cover letter. Lawler is on the commitee that grades/writes the WPE so she gave us practice with that. We wrote three essays, in class. She gave us the topics ahead of time. Good practice for the WPE. Our Final was take home and the answers came straight from the book. We didn't have to come for the last day, just had to mail our final to her! I found the things we learned to be more worthwhile then just writing essays and such. Seems like a lot of work, but I didn't have to do that much work outside of class. She grades really easy on things so it really isn't hard to do well. Good luck!

Professor Kreeger will treat you like you're in a kindergarden class. You get called "class" and "students" more than anything and you get (have) to listen to her stories about her day. The class requires quite a bit of work, most of it in groups out of classtime. And she doesn't teach anything really. You get to read the book and have quizzes on the material (most of which she doesn't know well enough to be teaching) and then just work on projects. It's a technical writing class taught by someone who knows nothing about tech writing. The class is easy to get through if you go to her office hours to get your papers edited and manage to go to class every day to put up with her.

Ms. Kreeger was really nice. The first week of class I thought there was no way I'd make it through it because she's so intimidating. I gradually liked her more and more. There are 4 major projects that you work on throughout the whole quarter. She has pop quizzes on the reading so you want to make sure to read. I believe the key to success in her class is to go to her office hours. If you have her look over your paper before you turn it in, you are practically guaranteed an A on it. The class was a lot of work, but she was an OK teacher.

The first week, I was almost ready to drop the class because she gave us a list of all the work we had to do and she seemed like she would be a hard grader. But it turns out that she was EASY!!!!! It sounds like a lot of work, but the assignments are short and simple. The only thing you have to do is to go to her office hours to have her look over your work before you turn it in. This basically guanantees you an A. You will soon find out that she knows nothing about engineering, so you could basically BS your essays and she would never know. The key is to keep your essay simple, and don't use ANY technical terms that she won't understand. It is frustrating but you have to write down to her level of understanding. She plays favorites so always be nice to her. She does give you pop quizes on the reading about once a week. The quiz consists of about 10 multiple choice questions. I always got terrible scores on these because I never did the reading, but I still got an A in the class. No midterms or final! The class wasn't really technical writing. When you ask her questions she will tell you to look at your book; it was the first time she taught the class. She seems like an elementary school teacher. And, don't expect to add the class if you don't go on the first day. She only let one person add on the first day, after that there were only about 16 people in the class but she wouldn't add anyone else. She likes to keep her classes small so she has less work to do. She always complains about how she has to have three teaching jobs to get by and she has so much work to do. Get ready to listen to her complain about her personal problems. Also, don't be late to class or she will hold a grudge against you. After all this, I would strongly recommend taking Kreeger because she is easy. After you get to know her she is a really nice person.

Ms Kreeger is an interesting person.. by that I mean she play favorites and treats students like little kids (she used to teach elementary school & it's very obvious). She usually rips on your paper the first time, so taking it in to her office hours twice usually guarantees an A if you fix everything she doesn't like. Not too bad, learned a little, but not too much. She gives random reading quizzes which are a joke. They're multiple choice/true-false with short answer on the back. She just assigns points at random for the short answer. I might take her again just because the papers are easy if she looks over them before you turn them in.

Corporate Communication should be taught by the business department not her. Her only corporate experience is working behind a bar. The class was a waste of time unless you need a resume. If you ask her a question she does not know (which is alot) she says "good question, I don't know", but what is BS is that she DOES NOT BOTHER TO FIND OUT THE ANSWER!! Karen is a nice person I GUESS!!! I pay to learn not to become buddies. Give me a asshole who can teach me something! She is a jaded single mother who probably has never left SLO county. She is quick to tell you how she raised her (failing) high school son all by herself (yeah right, can you say welfare, school grants, special college grants for single moms). Only suggestion is if your a teacher kiss ass-take her! She gets her feelings hurt and then holds a grudge. If your on her good side, she grades EASY. Classic junior high school type stuff. She always wants you to review your work in her office prior to turning it in, if you do you'll get "A"s after all she'll just be grading her suggestions then. This women should be teaching nothing higher than the 3rd grade.
