A teaching GOD. If you don't like Dr. Zohns' classes then YOU ARE IN THE WRONG MAJOR.

Zohns is the man. As long as you try he will give you a fair grade.

Best professor I have ever had, clearly cares for his students and is very approachable!

One of the best engineering professors in the entire university. Brilliant, patient, explains things clearly, and will challenge you to think. He might be grouchy at times, but he works to make students into engineers. TAKE ZOHNS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. He's retiring soon.

This guy is so funny and he is a great teacher.

This may be the best teacher at Cal-Poly. He explains thing very clearly, and makes the learning process fun. Take a class from him if you can!

Dr. Zohns is very helpful, and I suggest taking many classes from him, because you will learn alot. He is not an easy teacher, but he makes the coursework seem easy with a very thourough teaching style.

Dr. Zohns is the reason I love BRAE, he's the best teacher I have ever had, and probably ever will, for the sake of all things try to take him even if you aren't BRAE, take him. He makes the hardest material seem like its as simple as 2+2, greatest teacher...ever

Well this class is definitely not something I am really interested in, but, by the end of the quarter, I really started to like hydraulics and what not. It turned out to be not so bad afterall. Dr. Zohns gave a weekly quiz, no midterm and a final which was partially open book and partially closed note. This is the 3rd class I have taken with him and I will for sure take him for as many as I can.

Simply put, Dr. Zohns is the man.

Instant feedback on quizzes which allows students to rethink over the problem before submitting it. Great teacher who always finds a way to keep you interested in the material he teaches. His labs only last about 1.5-2 hrs each.

Zohns is clearly living breathing and walking proof of why BRAE is the best possible major out there. Not only does he relay the material to his students, he has perfected teaching. This is something very few college professors out there can say that they do. His lectures are always very organized and his labs were even more so. No time is ever wasted with this man. In the class there was weekly quizzes with instant feedback, hw due just about every lecture and a final. thats it! to be honest i can't say enough about this professor, makes me want to switch my concentration just to take more classes with him. all in all a great teacher, highly recommend him

One homework, quiz, and lab per week. No midterms, just a final. Lectures are straight forward and tie in nicely with the homeworks, quizzes, and labs. Best professor I've ever had and probably will ever have. I'm glad I took a class with him before he stops teaching.

Dr. Zohns is one of the best teachers I have ever had. His classes don't just cover subject matter, they teach you skills that will help you throughout your college career. If you haven't taken a class with Zohns already, you are missing out!

What can I say? he's the man...best damn instructor I have ever had, and probably ever will. He REALLY knows the material, and more importantly, knows how to teach it. Take him if at all possible

What can I say about Zohns? He is the best damn teacher at Cal Poly. He knows everything about his subjects and can even help you with homework from other classes that he has never taught. He makes you think about what you are doing and never gives any surprises. He makes you want to come to class every day. Take as many classes from him as you can.

The class can seem like a lot, but it'll all make sense at the end. Zohns is an excellent choice as a professor for a teacher for this course. (Weekly quizzes, labs, homework, and a final)

Greatest professor at Cal Poly. He made me want to learn everything in his class. Every grade I got in his class I can honestly say I deserved. It will be very tough for the BRAE department to replace him after he retires

Best teacher at Poly, hands down

This professor did a wonderful job presenting the material to the class in an understandable and interesting way. One of the only morning classes I've had through college that I looked forward to waking up for. There are not many professors like him, so take advantage of your class time with him.

Bar none, the best instructor at Cal-Poly.
