Winger isn't that bad to have as a lab instructor. He does his best to help students out in lab when their setup isn't working, and does a fairly good recitation beforehand to walk you through the harder parts of the lab. The best parts about having him for lab is that: 1.) he cuts out many parts of the lab that he thinks are too hard or pointless 2.) he makes you do his own pre-labs as opposed to the lab manual ones (his are much easier) 3.) his lab reports are so short, they shouldn't even be called reports (he doesn't make you write a purpose, the steps of the lab, or even a full conclusion. he just wants brief "discussions" regarding your results) and these reports are due at the end of class - but the funny thing is that our class argued our way out of turning in the lab report until the day of the final. His lab final is fairly easy, but make sure you know how to use the equipment (there is a written and practical part) so don't slack off and make sure both you and your lab partner know how things work. He grades lab reports harshly, he says no one ever gets a full 10/10 on them (most people average around 7). Hard to get an A, but not hard to get a B.
