Like a lot of others, I took Wills because he has a good rep with the students. It turns out that his rep is totally undeserved. If you want to take an instructor who is very easy, has low expectations and covers about a third of the material, by all means take Wills. I'm in grad school now (Biology) and am getting hammered in my classes because of what I don't know. One of my professors suggested I sit in on undergraduate organic chemistry, again! I am mad at myself for taking Wills and I am mad at Poly for allowing this person to continue to teach, which has really tainted my opinion of my time there. He is an embarrassment to the otherwise respectable department.

Dr.Wills was a young cool guy when I had him in Chem, back in 1972. I don't understand why he is hanging around that long. It must be the drugs he makes. Anyway, I'm living better through chemeistry (soil remenediation and etc.) The guy gives you some real world basic knowledge and was even patient with the aggies. I might have to offer this guy a real job once he gets back off his thirty year vacation.

Dr. Wills is a hillarious teacher. He knows what he is teaching and loves to teach everyone about it. His humor is present at all times, on the final in 318 one question was, "Show how to make methamphetamine." This guy is awesome.

Dr.Wills is a person who deeply cares about the direction and course students take. He's a wealth of knowledge and has a genuine personality, there is a bit of underlying humor there to be tapped, akin to Dennis the Mennace, or Tom Sawyer. He'll go out of his way to set you on a good course in life. He doesn't screw you up in tests by trying to prove how smart he is, nor does he try to impress you with some aspect of organic chemistry that goes nowhere. You can have a lot of fun with Dr. Wills in O-chem. Excellent investment in your education.

I got an A in this course and learned close to nothing. I wish I had taken the other instructor because I really got ripped in Chem 318.

He is an awsome professor for lab. He totally let us work on real life applications and do labs that were not in the books, but made us think of a way to create the product. I learned alot in this class and had a great time doing it. He is very understanding and will help you in any way possible. If you get the oppertunity to take Dr. Wills do it.
