Mary White was an okay lab teacher. She knew the information, because could no convey it clearly. For assignments, she did a poor job on letting us know what was to be expected, and then I don't think she cared that much about the requirements for the final project. I got a good grade in the class, but had to learn from other students and other people. But she is a nice person and okay teacher. Don't avoid her as a teacher, she is not that bad. But if you want to learn a lot, find another teacher.

mary white is not the qualified person to be teaching an intro class. she assumed that everyone had experience and if you fell behind, missed one of her many verbally thrown out measurements, or couldn't see because her damn head was in the way...you were S.O.L. still, i enjoyed the class and the course work. i received 9's and 10's (out of 10) on all the work yet somehow ended up with a B+...oh yeah, at the end there is a final that i swear she just decided to wing the content of it: i mean, she never mentioned it at all and when asked if there was going to be a final, she said no! perhaps mary does well as a higher level instructor but i think she should leave the intro classes to those with a little more patience. if you want health advice regarding your diet take mary...if you want to learn in a controlled, organized environment, take someone else!

If you want to learn architecture from John Lennon, take Mary White. If you want to meditate during Yanni music, take Mary White. If you want an easy A, take Mary White. If you want to work hard and learn, do not take Mary White.

Mary White sucked my will to live. Her class was irrelevant to the major. She is always late and shows up unprepared. It is very hard to know what she is after in an assigment. You have to do every model three times, not cheap. Seriously a frustrating experience however I was a disgruntled student who did shoddy work and not much of it and got an A, so there is an upside.

If you like doing fifth grade art projects and crap like that, take Mary White. If you want to actually learn something about architectural design, take another professor. This class was the biggest waste of time.

She doesnt know how to teach. She doesnt understand how to teach the material. the only thing she is good for is an A. She lectures about a subject for two hours which could have easily been covered by a handout. I don't know how the architecture department could hire such an unqualified person.

Mary is really nice and everything, but she really can't teach. I dont think she has any clue to how difficult it is for a second year arch student finishing 15 pages of 24x36 drawings WHILE taking the design class.

Not to be too harsh to Mary, since she is a very nice person, but she has no idea what it means to teach. If being a good teacher means coming to class a half hour late and leaving 2 hours early, then I think she did a great job. Not that I like being in class for 4 and a half hours, but when we have to complete a full set of drawings, it would be nice if she could have been there to answer some questions. If you do get her, just pray that you get some good classmates and work together like my class did. I am proud of my final set of drawings, but it was a lot of work to do and it took time away from my design class. If you turn your final drawings in early like I did you should be okay.

Mary White is a pathetic teacher. She can't teach and doesn't explain assignments well at all, and then grades on the things that she doesn't talk about at all. Even if you ask her about your project before it is due and she tells you what is wrong, she grades differently when you turn it in and you end up getting a bad grade anyways. I haven't seen any proof that she can design either. She does give extra credit for turning in assignments early though. She is anal but lacks the knowledge to justify it.
