She teaches the material well and often repeats herself which is kind of annoying. Her tests are very hard and the curve is around a D on most tests. I found her irritating but she knows the materail well and prepared for class well. I would recommend her only if you take tests well.

Noel Wheeler teahes not out of the book but out of her own handbook. By doing this, she does not prepare you correctly to attack Stat 252. The main problem I experienced was that she would assign even homework problems and never give answers or go over them. Going to her office hour did not help because she could not answer my questions. Her tests are extemelt hard. you are basically competing with other classmates over who can get the higher failed grade. I would suggest Professor Pollard.

I have had my share of horrible professors and instructors in my three years at Cal Poly. But I can honestly say Noel Wheeler ranks as the worst. She does not lecture the material in a manner that informs the student. Her lectures are somewhat incoherent, her grading is unfair, and she doesn't listen to questions well. Going to her office hours is like getting scorned and told off, rather than helpful. She likes to blame you for not understanding the material, when really its her fault for not conveying the material in a logical manner.

I believe that prof. Wheeler is a good teacher if you actually work in her class. In order to get a good grade in her class you must stay on top of the HW she assigns, which is alot. If you don't understand go into her office hours and talk to her right away. If you let her know that you care about the subject and about doing well in her class, she'll give you perks. Also don't wait till right before the first midterm to go into her office hours for the first time and get help, do it as soon as you have a question.

Mrs.Wheeler is a very fair teacher. She teaches you what you need to know, and I felt she did a great job. There really are no surprises on tests and quizes. Stat 252 is a boring and time consuming class but all business majors must get through it and I would recommend Mrs. Wheller any day of the week.

Dr. Wheeler doesn't explain the notes well in class. Although we have pre-printed class notes, which are extremely helpful, she never makes a point to tell you what the purpose is of what we're learning. There is a lot of homework that you must stay on top of, because it will help you for the tests. The quizes are a savior in the class, because they average to a test grade. Hnestloy, Dr. Wheel is the worst teacher I have EVER had though, as far as getting accross the information of statistics.

Dr. Wheeler cannot understand that her students aren't getting anything she teaches. This is probably because her stupid microphone is not turned up loud enough!!! She doesn't spend enough time teaching important information, so therefore the students don't understand what is necessary to know for the tests, and if you ask her any questions about it, she makes you feel stupid for not knowing (even though she never clarified in the first place). I would definately recommend NOT taking her for 252......you won't learn much!

Dr. Wheeler did a poor job of conveying the information. Half of the class was lost the whole lecture and she was oblivious to it. She went quickly over the important information and took whole class periods to teach the unimportant information. The quizes and take homes saved my grade and the homework (which is a lot) helped me undersand the information. I have heard she is the best stats 252 teacher at cal poly, however i didn't experience her great teaching abilites. The information in the class wasn't difficult, but she made it hard to understand.

Wheeler is a heartless old women and she's stubborn as hell. She should be fired on those two facts alone, but if you keep up on all the work and don't get behind, the class isn't that bad.

I feel that Professor Wheeler was unwilling to understand or help answer students' questions and concerns about the subject. Her lectures were a bit unorganized and didn't seem to flow well. In the class I took with her she used an overhead to display handwritten transparencies. It was difficult to read and understand. I also feel that she is not very helpful during her office hours. I would not recommend her to anyone who has to take STAT 252.

Professor Wheeler teaches out of her own handbook. You dont have to do the homework, but it does help. The tests are not too hard, but it is easy to make stupid mistakes and with each part being like 6 points, it hurts to miss a few. Do the homework and go to class and you should be fine

A Stat professor that fails once again. She is very out of touch with the students. She is difficult to understand. She is not clear on what she intends to teach or grade. No recomendation here.
