Dr V Rules!!! I am a computer science major and i went into her class knowing nothing what so ever about programming. I learned alot in her class and felt like i had a good foundation when i finished. She isn't easy though, she assigns 9 programming assingments, some easy but they get harder. Most people in my class got into trouble by waiting till the last minute, DONT do this!!! get started early, and if you have ANY questions dont hesitate to attend office hours... she is very helpful and usually it only took a few minutes for her to explain where i went wrong. I recieved A's on all the programs and i got all the points possible in lab, and still didn't get an A in the class.... the final and midterm are LONG, so work quick, they are also worth alot, i got a B+ on both and a B+ in the class if that tells you anything. I would recommend this professor to anyone who is looking to be prepared for 102.

I see the other glowing evaluation and I wonder if that student was a girl. Emilia is a terrible teacher, and its obvious that she is retiring. My class took a midterm a week late, and it was returned, or even graded until well into the 8th week. Lab assignments have suffered the same fate. Please don't get me wrong, I will get probably a B in this class, I am not a bitter student recieving an F. I just want to warn people that need CSC, she will not prepare you. I mentioned earlier that the previous evaluator may have been a girl, because as we all know CSC is a male dominated profession and goods to see supportive female role models in a University.
