Rest in Peace, Ed. You were a great mentor. You're being missed and will continue to be missed.

The lecture part of this class is not too involved so little work is required of the professor. However, he did a good job in preenting the material.

This class is a lot of fun. Since there is only class 2 days a week, lab takes up most of the time. For CAD lab try to get McNeill. He is very informative and helps you whenever you have a question. This class has lab 2 days a week, but the only thing you have to so outside of class is write the lab report and that doesn't take a long time. the delta project seems dumb at first, but it is actually really cool. (don't be thermal engineer, though, that's the hardest one). This class is not stressful at all.

This guy really knows what he's doing. This class is very straight forward, so if he couldn't teach it well I'd be really frightened. He's an overall nice guy who want to see his students succeed. He is very approachable and is an overall nice guy. Getting an A in this class was really simple. Just do what he asks you to do and study for the quizzes and you got it. But, if you don't want to do that, a B is very easilly atainable.

Dr. Sullivan is an excellent teacher and in CE 114 he introduces various aspects of design to new Civil and Environmental Engineering majors. The material isn't exciting but it is relevant to the practice of engineering, and should therefore be of interest to potential engineers. The exams in his class come from the course notebook and are specific. There probably won't be a choice for CE 114 lecturers, but if there is choose Professor Sullivan (there will be a choice for lab instructors so try to get McNeill).

sullivan is an all right guy. this class required almost no outside work except for lab reports. he is laid back, fair, and more than willing to help with your problems. for the lab, take mcniell if you can. that guy is a pimp. knows his stuff and is cool on top of that.

He is a good professor just a little monotoned. The Delta project is really fun. Try to get McNeill for the lab, he is awesome.

This is an easy class. He makes it easy. Kind of fun, but a joke in the end. He's a good prof. and since there probably isn't much choice for you I recommend him.

Sometimes, I don't think this guy knows what he's talking about. The class is really easy, although the delta design project is a joke and a waste of time. But if you have to take the class, I would reccomend him.

Hes a pritty average guy. The class is really easy all you have to do is go to class to get participation and study exactly what he tells you on the quizes. O and do a presentation at the end of the class. Dont make it harder than it is, i spent probaly 3 hours outside of class all quarter doing stuff including project time.

this class is pathetic. show up, listen to him spew useless info, study for a couple of easy quizzes, and do a retarded design project. he takes atendance and it counts as 5% of your grade so make sure you come, each quiz is 10% and there is desing project wortth 10% and the lab notebook worth 15%. do the lab notebook well the first time and he let you not do it second time. the lab is where actually learn how to use CAD. i didn't know CAD coming in and i don't really feel like know any going out even though i got an A. all you have to do is show up to the lectures and labs... i put worth minimal effort and still got an A

Yup pretty lame lecture class. He does take attendance everyday. When he explains the labs.... don't really listen. My lab teacher had different requirements for a couple of the labs and he's the one that grades the labs anyway. Lab was the best part of 114.

A very easy class, Sullivan can be a little hard when it comes to trying to talk to him and get an answer that will help you. But I think he is the only one teaching the class most of time so there is really nothing you can do about it. Overall, simple class, 50% credit for the class, 50% credit for the lab. The delta project is simple as long as you work as a team, and make sure you study for the two quizzes because they can hurt you in the end.

Sullivan makes this class really easy, the labs never take the full time and he is really nice. Take him if you can

This lab was tight because it was easy; you didn't have to do much. You work in groups and sometimes (in fact most of the time) you get out early. There were times when we got out after like 45 min. out of a 3 hr lab...fucking sweet if u ask me...

Dr. Sullivan has a vast array of CE knowledge, is extremely approachable, and one of the nicest people in the CE department. During lab, he is always available to help without sounding condescending. I even had him as my senior project advisor, and he helped me out by suggesting research and providing helpful criticism. Overall, excellent class, excellent professor. Take him whenever you can.
