It was an intro class, of course it was easy. We usually got out early and Liz's main concern was that we did what she wanted(isn't too much) and that we do our best.

Liz is an awesome teacher! She has the rare ability to present coursework and outside material in a way that makes you actually want to learn it. By far one of the best teachers i've ever had. Easy to talk to and a wonderful, down to earth person that i look foreward to taking more classes from.

Mrs. Schlemer is an excellent teacher that I'd recommend to anyone. The introduction class is very simple - she said herself that she loves giving everyone A's in that class, although some people don't give her the chance to. All you have to do to get an A is do the work that she tells you to, which is a very limited load. Also, make it a point to go to Mrs. Schlemer's office hours. It's required to do so for the class, but many people skip it or forget about it. She's very nice and loves to get to know you.

The class is kind of a joke, but is a good way to know fellow IME students and learn about what you will be studying in IME. Liz teaches you some simple excel and skills beneficial to you in college and is a really friendly teacher who cares about her students. Unfortunately she had to miss like 4 or 5 times becuase of a surgery she had, but she's fine now. Liz is awesome though, take her for any IME class.

Liz is a great teacher. I hear she's a bit tougher for the other IME classes, but for 101 she did great. The assignments were interesting and the information she presented to us was pretty legit. We learned all about SLO and the CP system of learning.

Okay, if you're not passing this class... there's something wrong with you. Liz is extremely nice and helpful and it does not take very much to pass this class. There are often lots of TAs you can get feedback from and there are many presentations during class. At times, the class was a pain to come to just because it seemed like tons of busy work, but would you rather be cracking out calculations and staying up all night? Don't think twice, just go with Liz.

Liz was beyond amazing. She offers a choose your own grade style class and basically gives you a list a assignments and if you do a certain amount you get a certain grade. Easy A and she has fun activities each week for you to get to know other people in your major. My only complaint is that she talked about her political beliefs a lot and kind of made me feel uncomfortable when she did.

Liz is super chill! I had the best time taking her 101 lab. She assigned us simple projects with a due date close to the end of the quarter, so there was very little stress over this class. Most of the homework was done in lab, and we had fun social activities (kickball, ice cream, movies in class, crafts...). She invited a bunch of guest lecturers which was pretty interesting, but one of the best parts of this class is that attendance was completely optional, and we were free to leave at any time, as long as we completed a certain amount of activities by the end of the year.

Liz is a very easy professor. Though she is not very organized, she presented things in a clear matter, was extremelly easy with grading (avg. in tests was mid 80's), she was very helpful during office hours, and her tests were easy. Her study guides with earlier versions of midterms were very helpful. Labs were fun and reading was minimal. No homework!

Liz is awesome!!! I took her for 223, and loved her class so much that I made sure to take her for 239 and 319. She is very fair. If you study, you'll be rewarded. She doesn't give busy work, all you need to do is put 2 or 3 hours of studying before the midterms and you will get A's on them! She can easily relate to students, and has no problems giving the whole class A! She has been one of the best teachers, and it's because of her that I have loved my major!

I took Liz for both 223 239. Her classes were very straightforward, tests were easy (2 pages of notes and book and handouts), and homeworks (IME 239) were simple. She's a great professor! I highly recommend her.

Liz is great. She explains the material well, is interesting to listen too, and does not try to over load her students with pointless busy work. Her tests are straight forward and same with the final. Also, if you are having a difficult time understanding, she has no problem explaining. I highly recommend her.

She is very precise and able to convey course material thoroughly. WE need more professors like LIZ!!! but the department refuses to have her as a full time professor, instead they keep on bringing in "friends" to "teach" classes that they are not familiar with. Bottom line, who should decide who needs to be teaching us? the department head? who decided to bring on board new people when we already had the resouces needed? Liz should be allowed to teach full time and any class that she's wants... I took her for 223,319,314,239 and 342 and in all those classes I always got A's, now I think she had a lot to do with it, I don't think I just got the grade on my own, or with my good looks!! :)

Liz is the best teacher i have taken at Poly. i have taker her 3 times for 3 different classes and have gotten 3 a's. She tells you what you need to know for the tests, exactly what to provide on assignments and projects, and is a easy A with just a TINY bit of effort.

Liz is awesome. I had her for IME 101 also and she has always been a joy to learn from. She always knows her stuff and is interesting to learn from. The class was at 8 am but I went to every one because it was genuinely interesting to come to. The grade was based on a midterm, final, and two individual projects. We were allowed a ton of notes and the textbook for the tests.

She is very precise and able to convey course material thoroughly. The only thing is she collects homework and it is worth a substancial part of your grade. I recieved a "B" in IME 314 otherwise I would have recieved an "A". Her tests are straight forward and based on the homework & lectures. She'll never throw you a curve ball.

I loved this class and the professir also. She explains the material well, and has lots of experience working in the field. She is very knowledgable and approachable. I am definately going to take a class with Liz again. Do the work, pay attention and you will do just fine. She gives you three grading options and is a fair grader.

She sucks. But the class is easy. Taking just about anyone else would be just fine. Shes definately a stupid grader, so if one might take her, he should make sure copy the numbers out of the tables correctly, because she does not look at your work.

This teacher is real tight. She teaches the material very clearly, so either she's a great teach or the material is just easy, but hey, I'm an engineer so I knew economics would be sinch anyways. She's funny and the tests are not bad at all, just do the hw. Also, u get to use notes 4 the tests, which was a huge plus. U also get to do an investment portfolio during the course of the quarter, which I thought was pretty interesting. I definitely recommend her.

Liz is by far the best teacher the IME department has. If she is teaching any class you need, TAKE HER. She lets you bring two pages of notes to tests and more for the final. Depending on the course, the test can also be open book. She is very friendly and extremely helpful in office hours. Stay up with the homework and ask her questions about what you don't understand. The only reason I didn't get an A is because I got a D on the final because I didn't study. TAKE ANY CLASS YOU CAN FROM LIZ!

Liz is an excellent teacher and I would have gotten an A except for the fact that she puts a substantial amount of credit on homeworks so do your homework at all costs!! Her tests are very straightforward and the material is very easy to understand through her teaching. She has comes up with creative ways and projects to bring her ideas across. Overall, great teacher and class.

Liz is a great professor. I would take her again any chance I get. Unfortunately I don't think there's many more classes that she teaches that I'll take since I'm done with 223, 239, 319, and 314. Actually, 314 is the only one of those 4 classes that I didn't take with Liz, and I wish I had. Liz is very easy to talk to and she treats students as equals. Her class is very straight forward, homework is pretty much 1 assisgnment per week, and the midterms and final are pretty easy if you have good notes going into the test (she allows 2-4 pages of notes), and you'd better have good notes cause she passes out a study sheet before the tests. TAKE LIZ IF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY!

Liz is one of a kind. If you haven't taken a class with her, you are really missing out. She really knows how to convey information to students in a way they can understand. I've taken several classes with Liz, and I wouldn't dare pass up an opportunity to take another one with her.

Liz is an excellent professor because she really loves what she does and cares about her students. She will never let you jsut come into her office hour and ask a simple question then leave. She makes you sit and talk with ehr and get to know you because she wants people to feel at home. She grades fair and usually gives you the benefit of the doubt on anything you think is unfairly graded. Liz lets you have notes on tests, which is a huge plus because she understands that being able to apply knowledge rather than just memorizing it is much more valuable. Great teacher.

This ended up being a typical "Liz class" altough we wern't allowed to use the book for the midterm or final. However, I never opened the book anyways so it really didn't matter. Everything you need is on the powerpoints, literally. Just copy them word for word and you'll get A's on both exams. There are several tactics to getting around the quiz or chapter outline so I'll leave those for you to figure out. The group projects are cake and require only limited stats knowledge. Overall it's a good class to meet more IE's and learn a bit about ergonomics.

Liz was awesome as usual. Pouraghabarger didn't teach the class for some reason and I've heard he's makes you work hard for that 1 unit, but Liz didn't make it that hard for us. Just make sure you have a good group and you'll be fine.

Liz it the best teacher in the world. There is not one person that thinks otherwise. We are so lucky to have her in IE! She graduated from Cal Poly and has a real interest for the program. Every assignment is different and creative. She loves new ideas and students that work hard. She knows how to teach and has a real love for it. Take her as much as possible. The Facilty design project is really, really big, infact, it's so big you might just have a lot of fun. P.S. build a good 3D model and the company will love your ideas! Thank you Liz for a wonderful quarter.

Liz is a very personable and popular instructor in the IME department. While she is clearly an expert in Facilities Management, she tried to integrate too many activities into one Facilities Engineering course, which created a mess. Students were assigned to read an entire textbook with little group discussion and sit through many dry powerpoint slides. This is not the Cal Poly style of learning. However, one very positive aspect of the course included a real industry project where students act as a facility consultant for a local business in Central California. I also give Liz high marks for emphasizing the project deliverables and not documentation as many managers do. This experience was very valuable, but the students were totally on their own. Specifically, Liz was not equiped to answer technical questions concerning the use of facilities design tools in practice nor did she foster a professional team environment among the student groups. In summary, Liz is an experienced consultant of average teaching ability, who is popular with students due to her easy grading policy.
