I feel sorry for those of you who took or are going to take this class. The one major problem was that he had a HUGE ASS accent. if you could understand what he was saying maybe you'd get a decent grade. If not, you're screwed and have to teach yourself from the book. He was linient to my class cuz he graded our tests wrong. He let us drop one of our 4 tests. Still, it didn't help anyone cuz no one still knew what he was teaching. Unless you can rely upon yourself to learn economics, you won't do well in this class. If I had to do it again, i'd skip all his lectures and just read from the book. It would've saved a lot of time and make everything not as confusing. If you had high school economics let me just say that it won't be enough to get an A. Get ready for a tough ride and have fun with Mr. Paparazi. P.S. he talks on and on about the correct way to pronounce his name and his greek background. In these cases, just set your head on the table and take a nap.

Greece Greek . its all greek to you. where do all the greeks go. His accent is class as his taste for the facts. IN 1996 he was found in greece and came to count supply and demand. Tell you what take the cource becase its grand but don't get to cocky. If you answer the call of duty question wroung you can be docked 70 points. don't run when you can walk. Seriously he is a mutlipull chosice wizard and if you take think you will do great in the 60's. Way to go team make sure you keep your wits about you when you take the forest trip. His house had depriciated and while this is an alarming fact we can take hart in dantes peak.

This guy doesn't even have the courtesy to show up at his office hours. He schedules them late in the evening because he knows students are busy doing other things. His wife is the head of the department so he thinks he can get away with murder. As far as teaching goes, he is horrible! You can't even understand the guy and he is always interupting you and he portrays the attitude that he doesn't give a @#%$.

Worst teacher I've had at Poly so far! His lectures are straight from the book and VERY boring...that is if you can even understand him. I hardly ever went to class and still got an A. Most people would like this, but I didn't learn anything! Do not take him!

He's always late, his lectures are really boring, and you can make it through his multiple choice tests as long as you read the book. Honestly if you read the book, you don't need to go to class. His accent is really strong AND he talks really fast, so he's sometimes hard to understand. I took him over the summer in the five week course and he always showed up late, but he did let us out early every day. The class is easy, but you'll be glad to say goodbye to the professor at the end.

I took his macro-econ class and loved it. The material was interesting and useful, and his grading was fair. He was very straight forward about how his exams and grades would be distributed (exams were all multiple choice), and he was very easy to talk to. I didn't go to as many of the classes as I should have, but when I was there I didn't have any trouble understanding him.

This prefessor is the worst prefessor I had in CalPoly. First of all, it's very hard for you to understand his lecture, which is so unorganized and unclear. He has very serious accent. It's so difficult for you to hear what he talks about, especially it's also so unorganized. Second, his grade policy is so unclear too. even though he let all his students to vote the grade policy, actually he didn't follow it at the end(You will realize this after you get your final grade, so don't be so happy when he chooses the grade policy you prefer). Third, for the exam, he only told you to read the chapters in the book but almost didn't give lecture about the topic. The only thing you can do for the exam is to memorize the whole book. If you need this class for major requirement, don't choose this professor because you learn nothing. If you need this class for elective, don't choose this prefessor because it will low your GPA.

Dr. Papakyriazis seems to be a favourite for other students to trash. Yes, he does have an accent and it is NOT a Californian, American accent. If you reach senior level in University, and need to have your spoken language spoon-fed to you, maybe you should re-think your choices. A world does exist outside Califonia, outside even the United States! This is a professor who has a different structure for his courses, but is fair and very willing to help you if you need it and ask for it. If you are a free-loader expecting an easy ride, go elsewhere. He is approachable, and it is probably a good idea to schedule a meeting with him. His classes are demanding and I recommend them for serious students.

This guy does not care about this job. You can't understand a word he says and on top of it he talks quietly. He spent an ENTIRE class period in a democratic vote for the grading system for the quarter, then in the end did not even follow it. He never taught us a thing. All we did the entire quarter was group presentations on different countries. He simply left class during on one group's presentation (DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT COUNTED FOR 50% OF THE FINAL GRADE....or at least it was suppossed to). I hate this guy so my best advice to you is to NEVER take a class from him. You will learn nothing and will have wasted your time.

This guy has to be one of the worst teachers I have ever had. You pretty much have to teach yourself. His lectures were never coherent (and it's not because you can't understand him, it's just that he's so scattered), and if you ask a question he'll make you stand up in front of the class and help teach. He's an a$$. We all gave presentations, and then after the fact, he decided not to grade them at all. The evaluations are true, don't listen to the one person who thinks we are trashing him because he's foreign, it's cause he can't teach!!!! Steer clear of this guy!!!!

The professor was here to teach a course while he sold his house. He has little to no preperation for the lecture, and used a couple of graphs from the text, but they were two editions prior. He never answered a question, but would rather go off on some tangent unrelated to the question. He also made inappropriate comments to female students (this is coming from a guy!!!), and was rude in general. I would not take this prof again if it meant delaying graduation!!!

This guy is horrible. I saw how bad his reviews were, but I decided I could put up with him because his class was offered in 5 weeks over the summer. It definitely was not worth it. His lecture are completely scattered and his tests do not reallyreflect what he discussed in lecture or what was in the book. Avoid him at all costs. Maybe if no one registers for his classes he will get fired.

Worst teacher I have ever had. You will not understand him and if you need to ask a question in class, don't because he will make you feel like an idiot. If you do get stuck taking his class like I did, don't go to the lectures because you will learn nothing. Just read the chapters and do the best you can on the tests. He dropped our first one because everyone failed. Also, order the study guide online because he takes a lot of questions from there.
