Knowledgable. Difficult to understand at times. Even during office hours I was still confused. Nice guy though and he was always willing to help. I would take him again for another class.

Noel is a very knowledgeable professor. He does not use a textbook so all the material comes from notes that he puts on the board or hands out in class, so if you don't come to class every day you will fall behind quickly! Get a study buddy and this class will be a lot easier because he really encourages you to help each other out with the homework. Our class had 5 hw assignments and 5 quizzes (all announced at least a week or more in advance) 2 midterms, and the final. He gives a study guide for the midterms and if you go over each section of the study guide and know it well you will get an A on the tests. Will be taking Noel again!

This professor sucks! His notes are confusing and it seems like you go over the same thing everyday. He doesn't give examples that are related to anything, so you don't know how they are applied in the real world. I should have bought the text book because then I might have been able to teach myself.

A book was not required for the class, and all quiz/test questions came from lecture. 4 homework assignments were given, and Dr. Noel gives full credit for completing them. Dr. Noel presents the material in a somewhat confusing way, but if you take notes and review them, it is easy to figure out what you need to know. If you go to lecture and study the material, the tests are not difficult.

Noel is one of the most confusing professors that I have ever had. Not only does he not explain his material, he cannot answer question regarding his material. As you can guess, his tests are just as confusing, and despite the fact that he says they are multiple choice, they are only half multiple choice and the rest free answer. Do not take him if you have a choice.

This professor is somebody who should be avoided at all costs. He does not present the material clearly and ends up confusing HIMSELF with his own examples from the homework HE made up. he continues to do this at least once a week and it is very frustrating. I honestly thing he is going senile and should be fired. unless you can teach yourself very well out of the book then dont take this guy

Dr. Noel is an agricultural economics expert. It is a privilege to be in his class. Although he sometimes makes mistakes in his notes, he is always quick to correct. He gives full credit for all homework assignments as long as you do them. His grading on quizes can be tough. The nice thing about this class is it is fairly predictable, you know what you need to study and learn, and If you do that it should be rewarding. Especially since this information is vital if you expect to be an asset to the business world (real life).

This class is not the most interesting and the professor will admit it. In fact, it is pretty boring. You have 2 midterms and a final which you HAVE to study for. There are also about 4 projects which are not that hard but you will have to do research. He seems like a nice guy who is willing to help if you ask.

Please don't buy into any of the hype/horror stories pertaing to this class or Dr. Noel. I actually loved the class. I thought Noel ran the class like a meeting, which I appreciated. He may not smile much, but he's a good prof. In order to do poorly in this class you must either A)Be a complete slacker, or B) Be mentally challenged. Don' get me wrong, it required a lot of work, but it wasn't oh so bad like everyone told me it was gonna be.

This class is not the most interesting. It is not a cake walk and sometimes the tests had questions that I thought were random. As for taking him as a teacher, really its not bad. There isn't much you can do with the subject material. If you have questions he is willing to try and help you out.

The material is a little boring, but learning it is not. Dr. Noel really does know what he is talking about. He may seem a little rough on the outside, but if you show an interest he will helphowever he can. The four projects he requires are straight out of his lecture. Getting a good grade in this classw is not easy, but if you go to class, it will not be hard.

Professor Noel is a very knowledgeable teacher. He is there to teach you the material and he honestly wants everyone to do well and understand it. He is straighforward and doesn\'t try and trick you during quizzes or tests. Most people see this as him being an easy teacher so they slack off and then pay the price, naturally. If you want to succeed, put in a good consistent effort the entire quarter and you WILL do good in the class, no questions asked.

Dr. Noel is a great instructor. He is one of the most knowledgeable teachers at cal poly in global agriculture policy. He is clear and concise about the material and if you study and complete the assigned work as well as have a strong basis for economic theory this class is easy. Remember that you need to pay attention and not be a first time econ student to follow the concepts. Give Dr. Noel a try, he is very understanding.

I am very appalled that Noel has this low of a score. Granted he is old and can be dry and boring, he was the best teacher I have had so far. He presents the material and assignments clearly, answers difficult questions in an easy to understand way, and is quite approachable despite popular belief. He is the most knowledgable AGB professor when it comes to economics and policy. His class is NOT difficult as long as you put SOME effort in. Overall, Noel is a great dude and deserves a better score.

Dr Noel is a very smart and passionate man. However, he doesn't promote class discussion and his tests and quizzes can be very nit-picky on readings. His article assignments and internet assignments are very simple and he requires a group presentation that's pretty straight-forward. He gets to know his students and remembers most of their names, which is more than you can say for a lot of Cal Poly professors. Overall this class is pretty interesting if you are an Internation'l Mngmt concentration, but if you're just looking for an AGB elective, it's not for you.

Dr. Noel is a knowledgeable professor who initially comes across as very stern, but as you get used to him, is a pretty good guy. He knows many aspects of global trade and globalization and points out issues that politicians in America either miss completely or over-emphasize. It's pretty interesting. He doesn't wear his political views on his sleeve and is mostly objective on most issues. He does, however, get frustrated with those in the major that really don't give a whip and sometimes lectures the class about how he can't stand undedicated college students. The projects are big but not bad and the course is interesting.

this guy doesn't even know the material, the students in the class were correcting him constantly. Besides that he is one of the most boring teachers i have ever had, he makes the class so hard! He is also not the nicest person you will run into, but besides this being an extremely difficult class and the him being a terrible teacher, he has a huge curve at the end of the quarter so you should pass! good luck

I learned that if I were to take up hunting, I should shoot deer, not bears, because a bear will hunt me back if I successfully wound it. Fascinating! I didnt know that the key to production and operations management was so brutally simple!
