Brooke is definately one of the nicest guys, and a great teacher. The field trip lectures may have been very boring and long but he knows what he is talking about. I did not see him mad once and he always had a positive attitude. He was very easy to talk to about your projects and very gracious in giving extensions and accepting late assignments. I would definately recommend him to anyone.

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.

Brooke did a GREAT job teaching my first design lab. Most of the projects were pretty darn fun, he's particularly fond of collages and patterns. The only thing I had a problem with was his niceness. I think a lot of the time he gave unrealistic criticism of the students' work so that he wouldn't come off as being mean. When it came time for our final presentations, he would only then tell you what he truly thought about your work (it should have been a different color, why in the world did you orient it this way, etc.). There was a lot of bonding that went on in our class, and I think Brooke really encourages strong friendships and constructive criticism from your peers. He is a really friendly and fun-loving guy, and if you're looking to have a fun and very rewarding lab, I would definitely recommend Brooke Muller.

Muller is the nice loving yet "mysterious" prof. He gives good advices and is very friendly, but you can never tell if he REALLY likes your project or just saying he does. He keeps his student busy all the time, but you will be doing something fun so I definately recommend Brook.

Brooke is a very nice instructer. He provides many suggestions on your project all the time. At that point, it made me realize that design ideas has many approach. He is a very understanding professor because he knows that having pleasant ideas is not always promising. Although he provides many work, your craftsmanship will improve a lot when the quarter ends. You'll be able to learn how to use many different materials when you'ree in his class. Brooke also believes that all arch student should take advantage in using the lab to do their work. He does come by once and while and see what's going on in lab during the evening. I recommend this professor because his projects are fun and you'll learn a lot from each different projects.

Brook is a wonderful design professor. I love how much he emphasizes the process of a project's idea. He shares books, slides, and stories that are inspiring and intriguing. He has a very positive attitude when talking to you about your ideas... i think mainly because he is confident that you'll figure things out on your own. Brook always makes time to speak with you one-on-one, he establishes very good relationships with every student. All of his projects are clearly stated, he is very thorough and organized. You're encouraged to work on collages and pencil sketches. He is also a great ECS lab instructor. A must for 2nd year design.

Among the very best Poly Architecture has to offer, cannot recommend him more highly. He's patient, approachable and engaging. After looking at your project he'll throw out a hundred and fifty seven ideas, case studies, anticedents, examples etc., if you follow up on three or four your project will be vastly better for it. The man knows his material, he's willing to give of his time and energy and he cares. Take his class if you can.
