Morrison is a great teacher, he takes time to explain all the concepts so you can understand it and has a good review in the beginning. You'll notice that i got an F in the class, well that's because i was a numbskull and didn't do my homework, if you do your homework, you'll rock the quizzes, if you rock the quizzes, you'll rock the test. Do your homework, he doesn't assign too much. I got an F and i am still praising this guy, that is how much i like him.

Go to class and take notes. He moves at a calm pace in lecture and presents the concept along with an example. Give suggested homework. There is a quiz every week there is not a midterm. The quizzes are NO different then the homework or the lecture notes. I found the class very easy because I studied the notes and did the homework and the quizzes and midterms mimic them. I know I might sound arrogant but I have no idea why people do so bad in his class because its so simple!

Dr. Morrison is the best math professor I've had a Poly. His lectures are very straight forward, and he grades fairly. If you have any problems go to his office hours, he is very helpful and willing to talk to students about any questions they have. I would highly recommend him for any class. Make sure you do the homework and you will do well on his quizzes and tests.

Dr. Morrison is the sweetest and most caring teacher ever! He has helped me through classes that I was not even taking with him and was very supportive of me. If you ever need to talk to someone in the math department who genuinely cares about your success, Dr. Morrison is the one to call!

Though I only had him for Intro to Math Major, Dr. Morrison really knows how to help a student, i highly recommend him next year as he goes back to the classroom. Note: He has been department chair for the past like 8 years and as such hasn't really taught many classes so give him a break next year.

He was an excellent teacher, and presented the material very clearly. I learned very well with his class format, and I always knew exactly what was expected. The midterm and final questions came almost directly from the homework. He's not as caught up on proofs and theorems as some other professors are, which was a relief for me. Even though my section had 70 students, I still got all of my questions answered.

The thing that I like best about Morrison is his clarity when talking about fairly abstract concepts. He understands calculus very well and is very willing to help anyone who asks him. He almost seemed sad everyday when the class started zipping up their backpacks because he was enjoying teaching so much. His tests are difficult, but not insane or confusing. If you pay attention, you will do well in his class.

Professor Morrison was a great teacher. Since I've been going here, he has so far been the best math teacher I've had, probably the best I ever will have. He presented the material very well in class and never didn't have enough time to go over problems on the homework. Doing the homework is a must, but even that, he doesn't assign very much. He assigns key problems that he knows you should know. If in fact you complete the homework, you'll find the quizzes are more than easy because his quizzes are just homework problems reworded. And his midterms are the same way...do the homework and you'll get a good grade. One word of caution though...his final is pretty tough. It was definitely a shock for me when he handed out the study guide from last years test. Though I din't do bad on the final, I could've done better if I would have known it would be that hard. Lastly, he's very nice out of class too. He's always willing to help if you have problems in the class or need to reschedule a quiz. I think he's one of the best Math professors on campus. Take him if you can!

Professor Morrison is so far the only math teacher I've had at Poly who genuinely wants his students to do well in his class. He is very enthusiastic during lectures and also efficient. There is usually an announced quiz every week and homework which is not collected. Because of this, the homework can be done at your leisure, and the quizzes are generally exactly like the homework, so doing it before a quiz will increase your chances of acing them. The midterms were difficult but fair; there is not really any surprises, just study a good amount. The final is very tough though, so study a lot with old exams and try not to go into it with your grade on the line. Taking Morrison will not only give you a chance at getting a good grade but you'll learn a lot.

Mr. Morrison is by far the best math professor that I've had so far at Cal Poly. Go to class everyday because his lectures are so clear and understandable that you don't even have to read the book (the book sucks anyway). His quizzes and midterms are basically what he teaches in class. If you understand his lectures, then you'll ace the tests. I suggest doing the recommended homework, but really, he presents the material so well that once you understand it, you'll be just fine. Definitely take him!

I don't think Morrison was a good teacher. He went at a slow pace which was nice, but he didn't explain the course material very well. However, the quizzes and midterms were all straightforward. Just review your notes and do the homework and you'll do fine. I got bad grades on the quizzes because I didn't study so I got a C.

EASY tests quizzes. Midterm/Final problems repeat quiz questions. Clear lectures. Almost difficult to get a grade lower than a B.

Dr. Morrison is a very nice professor, but I would not recommend taking him for math 317. It seems as though he has trouble accurately presenting the material of that specific course. His tests are not difficult, but considering the aforementioned fact, they may seem difficult if you cannot learn the material on your own. He also seems to have difficulty clarifying students' problems.

Kent Morriso was really good for this class. Type seeing with LaTEX or "tex" as its called was a credit/no credit style that met just 1 day a week, one hour a week. Its just a typesetting class and there were no exams or hw. However, you could tell kent was an extremely good professor. It was funny because we kind of had a "final exam" even though the class was based on attendance because he wanted to see if anyone actually learned anything in the class. I think he'll be pleasantly surprised how well the class did! Great guy very friendly, take him!

Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.
