She is a nice person, but also super rude and throws out these sarcastic comments to call people out when they arent paying attention. The class in general is suuuuuper boring. I had to fight myself to stay awake the whole two hour lecture. The only things graded are a midterm, group paper, final, and online participation done each class (you only have to get 75% of it to get full credit for participation which was chill). For the midterm and final you really dont even need to worry about lecture notes because the majority of the info you are tested on are out of the book she assigns. It is not necessarily a very difficult class but is rough to sit through for two hours and be motivated to go to class. Im sure the class could be interesting to some people, but if you are just going to take it for a GE I would recommend taking something else.

Logan was a nice woman. However she is a pretty boring professor. Not super energized and her voice kind of reminded of a female Ben Stein (teacher from Ferris Bueller). Was an extremely easy class and had basically no work just the midterm, final, and 2 projects. I got an A in the class and ended up not learning that much kind of a bummer considering it was a class I was pretty interested in. If you want an easy A or B go for her but if you want to learn I'd take someone else.

This is a great class to take if you don't know much about American govt/politics and want to learn a few things with out wanting to stab yourself. Granted her lectures aren't super exciting, if you sit in the front and really try to be into it, it's a do-able 2 hours. The class is only a midterm, 2 projects, and a final, all of which really are not bad at all. She grades pretty easily and over all this class was a relatively easy and pleasant experience. (Also- I bought the book, never touched, you don't actually need it)

She's rude and sarcastic, and assumes everyone already understands the material. She does absolutely no coursework outside of the midterm, final, and project, which KILLS your grade. Do not take her unless you want to feel like a dumbass and cry.

This class is extremely easy to get a B in. No one pays attention in class AT ALL because it was in the huge lecture hall. The only reason people went to class was because of attendance. Her project was extremely easy and the midterm was somewhat difficult in my opinion because I studied because I really wanted to get an A in the class and ended up with a B. The final was pretty difficult so I would focus on that. If you want an A instead of a B i would definitely try and pay attention in class. There are only 4 things that are graded in class. 1- attendance/ 2- Midterm 3- final 4- project

Professor Logan is a caring individual who does seek the success of her students. I didn't feel motivated to give my best effort in the course, however, it is extremely easy to receive an A in this course. The lectures are quite dry, however, be sure to write down everything she says, because the information isn't usually present on her slides. If you stay attentive in class, read and take notes one every homework assignment, and attend every lecture to receive participation points, you will be quite content with your grade by the end of the quarter. Just a little note, make sure you can intelligent and motivated individuals in your group for the Open Space project. Trust me, it will benefit you tremendously. #iceinmyveins

The class is very easy to do well in as long as you read the book and show up to some of the lectures. I did not enjoy the class because Professor Logan often let her own political views influence the content of her lectures. She presented one sided information and did not balance it out with the other view point. She could not control behavior in the class and let her frustration show instead of handling it in a professional way. This class is ideal for students who want to fill their GE and get out. I do not recommend it to students who want to enjoy political science. I already knew most of the information because I learned it in high school, and that was a let down because I was looking forward to gaining new information and insight. Overall, the class is easy to do well in if you can ignore incompetency and bias.

Don't be too discouraged by her lazy eye. It just makes it difficult to tell if she's asking you the question or the person next to you... Besides that, she's a good prof. She understands and develops the ideas of Political Science well and can explain it if it gets too confusing. If you through sass at her, she'll through it back in your face. She uses a personally aggravating system for classroom polling and attendance called TopHat. It's subscription based (YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT) and she grades your attendance based on that. effective teacher, Shit system, don't fuck with her.

Lectures are super dry and she calls people out when they talk/use phone/laptop, but information is clear and well presented. If you show up to class you and pay attention to the lectures you should be able to get an A. A lot of the information isn't new, and is stuff you learned growing up and in high school.

She just seems like she's super defensive all the time, and acts like it's high school by policing everyone for using their phones. She's an alright professor, she presents the material clearly, but is pretty dry. The reading is insufferable. You are assigned to read. the. entire. freaking. textbook. The textbook is suuuuuper boring and at the end of the quarter, realizing you read the entire "The Irony of Democracy" textbook makes you want to jump out the nearest window.

Mulholland is a decent professor. Her class gets very boring at times and she just talks for the full two hours of the lecture. This course consists of online quizzes, a group project, a midterm, and a final. She also allows for up to 10 points extra credit. Both the midterm and the final were very difficult in my opinion as her questions often seem as if there are two answers that can be correct. Also her study guide for the midterm and the final is not very useful as it is just a list of every single thing she has covered in the course. The book that you read is absolutely horrible and you pretty much are assigned to read the whole book. Overall, I am glad that I am done with this course, but I definitely would not take it again.

This class was boring and hard to pay attention to at times, but it is doable. The midterm and final were not as bad as other people on previous ratings made it seem, and the online quizzes were easy points too. The group project is another grade booster, and if you go into her office hours, she's a really sweet lady who seems to care about her students. Definitely would study a few days in advance for the tests, but still a good class to take to finish the GE requirement.

Mulholland's class is pretty straightforward but also really boring, she lectures for the whole class time. you don't really need to read the textbook as long as you take good notes in class. (use a laptop bc she talks really fast) grade consists of midterm and final (not cumulative), group project, and 5 polylearn quizzes based on notes/reading. tests are kinda hard, but not impossible if you actually study-- since she gives a study guide. do the extra credit!! make sure you pick a good group for the project, it's worth a good chunk of your grade.

As many people have already said, her lectures are very boring. She just spends the whole two hours talking at us. Her exams are pretty difficult but I think what really helped me was that you have to go to class, because she talks about important information that will be on the exam. Also, her study guide is not that useful because she pretty much just puts everything we study on it, but still do it! LOL. You actually don't NEED to read the textbook because she gives in depth lectures of exactly what she wants us to understand.

The lectures in this class are boring and a wast of time. I took AP Gov in high school and absolutely loved it! the information is exactly the same, however, its somehow 10x more uninteresting and that's completely due to the way she lectures. She just reads off of a script and her powerpoints are too simple and lack a lot of info. I got a B+ on prior knowledge alone. As long as you do well on the group project, which is super easy, and the midterm, you should be fine for the final.

Mulholland was alright. Her class consists of a midterm and final (non-cumulative), 6 online quizzes, and a project. The midterm and final were pretty easy as long as you study a bit for them the night before but many of the questions were just common sense. The reading she assigns takes a while and you pretty much need to read the entire repetitive, never-ending textbook and you mostly need to do it because of the online quizzes, but they aren't too bad. Sometimes it will ask for very specific questions from the textbook and they're timed so in those cases the reading would be necessary. The project is super easy and basically free points but get good group members because it can become a lotta work if your partners don't do their work. She lets you get up to 10 points of extra credit which really boosts your grade. The class in general is super boring and she usually just reads right off her paper and draws useless diagrams on the board. She randomly gets mad at people for being on their phones even though over half the class is off-task on their computers. She posts her lecture slides online but they're not very useful unless you have notes to go along with them. The midterm had some questions from the textbook but the final was basically all questions from lecture and she gives you all the information in lecture. Overall, I would say take her if you want a GPA booster but be prepared for really dull, full 2 hour classes.

Mulholland is nice, but also very boring. The lectures are a struggle to stay awake during. But the class is pretty easy. 6 quizzes online throughout the quarter. 1 midterm and final which you do need to study for but she gives a helpful study guide first day of class. Also a group project which is an easy A if you do all the requirements. Provides extra credit options which are fun and great free points. Dull class but its easy if you can stay awake for classes.

Take her section! Logan was extremely concise, nice, and informative. Very willing to help in office hours if you want to excel. She set us up for success on her exams buy giving us study guides weeks in advance and giving us her essay prompt so we could prepare before exams. She also offered a good amount of extra credit that could boost your grade like 3%! I feel like I not only learned but I retained so much from her.

(her name is now Mulholland, she got married) Mulholland is a very sweet lady but her class is fairly boring. She creates powerpoint for each lecture which is nice, but often goes off onto tangents which get a little long and drawn out sometimes. you do not really need to keep up with the text book to do well in the class as long as you have a basic understanding of the government systems, economy, and political culture of the countries being studied, but it is nice to have the textbook totterer to while writing the essays. The only grade book work is 3 essays and a final (which is HARD) and he grades the essays pretty fairly. if you put a decent amount of effort into them you should get at least a B. the final consisted of 70 mc questions and a full length essay.

I learned that if I were to take up hunting, I should shoot deer, not bears, because a bear will hunt me back if I successfully wound it. Fascinating! I didnt know that the key to production and operations management was so brutally simple!
