Hutchcraft, Jamie  

Jamie is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She has 3, 10 question quizzes a quarter that reflect 25% of your final grade. The quiz questions are pretty much right from the slides she has made during discussion. She is super nice, very understanding and will hook you up at the end of the quarter. Would highly recommend.

Her discussion section is really easy. You don't do much. She evaluates with quizzes, as opposed to other sections whereby some note taking is required. But Hutchcraft provides loads of extra credit opportunities that can help a bunch, so don't skip her class!

Her discussion was very easy, but she is obviously a very inexperienced teacher. Her quizzes were very poorly written and often consisted of questions from the material presented that very day! I remember there was this one quiz question that she graded wrong for me so I went into her office hour and she wasn't there! Her name wasn't even on the door! So I emailed her and never got a response. I also emailed her two times asking questions like she told us to and she never responded. If you take her, go to class! she gave 3 extra credit quizzes i think which gave me over 100% in discussion.

Overall Psych was an fairly easy/interesting class and I would definitely recommend taking it, but I would not recommend Hutchcraft as a discussion leader. She was unorganized and her quiz questions were unfair. She did offer a lot of extra credit so your grade won't suffer but her discussions were extremely boring. I sent her multiple emails about a mistake in my grade and she never responded or fixed the error. If you have to take her its not the end of the world, but I wouldn't recommend.

She has a really boring discussion, I can't count the number of times we had class for 5 min and then she let us leave. Her discussions suck, but I do recommend her ONLY because she offers sooooooo much extra credit it helped my grade so much because the lecture midterms were the majority of our grade and if you don't do too well, the extra credit will get you an A in the psych 202 class in general, which is hard to do. If you don't like class, and you want extra credit, have her as a discussion teacher. So much EXTRA CREDIT

Hutchcraft led the discussion section of my PSY 202 class. Her discussion section consisted of a fast paced lecture that was very helpful because it gave a majority of the concepts and definitions that we needed to know for the class. There was an occasional quiz that was at most 10 questions. The quizzes were always based on things explicitly and clearly stated in class. There was extra credit on one quiz, an entire extra credit quiz another day, and an optional 1 page writing assignment for extra credit. She clearly wanted everyone to do well and it was easy to do well in the discussion section. If you have her the only difficult part of PSY 202 will be the midterms/final.

Missed the first day, went to the second day. Went to the midterm. Went to the Final. Three days of class total. I got a B, easy. This kind of shit gives our school a bad name.
