This "professor" is completely unprofessional (says she will make fun of students with her colleagues). I will get an A in the class, so this is not an evaluation because I am failing, I just think she is a sad excuse for a professor. She visibly does not want to be in class, and often is rude and irritated. She explicitly said the only final we would have would be in lab, then changed her mind halfway through the quarter and created a final that was worth more points than all of our midterms combined, and added a blue book element as well. This class was an insult to our intelligence, and she plagiarized all of her lectures from the online assigned articles. She read word for word off of her slideshow, and did not have anything new to add. She would sometimes talk about her patients (she is an RD) and would have such a poor attitude about them, it was sad and scary to see someone in my desired profession act that way towards patients in general. Overall, Tianna does not deserve to teach a class, she has a lot of growing up to do as well as maybe taking a class or two herself on how to be an effective educator.

Just wanted to post this polyrating so you wouldn't think the one below was completely biased...because it isn't. I began the quarter very much enjoying her personality, yet my attitude toward her changed after the first midterm. While studying, I realized she did in fact read off articles word for word during lecture. The midterm also consisted of a fair number of questions that asked for exact percents or difficult-to-recognize exotic foods. This class should have focused so much more on actual "contemporary issues in food preparation," not the history of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This is my first every polyrating review and I have to say this "teacher" is an absolute trainwreck. Her lectures are uninformative, she reads directly off the slides, and most of the stuff she teaches has absolutely no relation to real life. She wastes half of lecture talking about the calendar, and nobody gives af. Given that she is such a horrible teacher, I would guess that she would grade easier, but that is not the case. Her tests are so specific and she gives no study guide at all. Overall, this teacher is just horrible and I learned absolutely nothing in this class. Glad she's not teaching here next year.
