Avoid Dr. Mac if you can! This class was definitely the hardest RPTA class I have taken at Cal Poly. I don't think Dr. Mac realizes that students have more classes than just hers. That being said, the workload is insane! 100% of the work for this class is done at home in groups. Coming to class is pointless because you just listen to students present the material, and then Dr. Mac chimes in for 2 seconds to teach. I would definitely skip class every day if not for the attendance grade. She's cocky, thinks she's funny, and very annoying. She's an extremely hard grader so if you think this class is an easy A or B, think again. Plus, she gives pop quizzes so you have to do 30+ pages of dry, dense reading before every class in case she decides to test you on it. Seriously, avoid Dr. Mac at all costs!

Dr. Mac is the worst teacher ever. Her stupid PE points are useless and marks you down for nothing. Even marks down for eating chips. She monitors the class looking for people that are on their phones or computers! She is the worst teacher ever DO NOT take this class of she teaches it. Trust me she is awful. Very hard to approach also!!

Dr. Mac does have a different style of teaching. Like any other courses in the RPTA major the professors really encourage class participation and leadership. Her course is outlined much like a 400 level seminar, where students are expected to have material read before class and other students in the class will present the material. The name of the class is professionalism; and being prepared to not only participate in class and engage with other students on material that you are expected to have read is a part of being professional. Just do the short readings, take a few notes, and ask questions. Also, the group project is about 85% of the workload in the class. She also outlines the rubric very, very clearly. So, as long as you pay attention to detail (at least one person in your group) you will be solid.
