LOVE HER. If you want to take a class that you will actually learn, but still not stress about the course, Take it. If you've had Valdez, she is at that level. She knows what she is talking about, but still makes the class fun and interesting.

Professor Richardson is already one of my favorite professors in the IT department. She's incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the subject, and tries to make it as easy as possible for us to learn the material (instead of lecturing at a wall). Because she currently works in the industry (as a safety engineer for PG&E), she actually knows what she's talking about and knows what's the most important for us to learn. I went into this class thinking it would be a blow-off class, and it quickly became one of my favorite classes at Cal Poly. She made me curious to learn more, and I developed a strong safety mindset. My only complaint is that there aren't more safety classes I can take from her.
