Waycott, William  

Waycott is a terrible professor he is disorganized, we reads directly off his lecture slides (which may be the first time he has ever read through them) the slides are definitions from wikipedia. He gave us what he called a midterm "study guide" and told us the format of the midterm (multiple choice and free response). He then cancelled his office hours the week before the exam. Then when we arrived for the midterm none of the material he told us to study was on it and the format was completely different. It was ALL free response question most of which he never went over. Do NOT take his class it is a waste of time. I took this class as a required minor course because I am interested in plant sciences and I am very disappointed.

Professor Waycott is so boring in lecture. All of his slides are just paragraphs he copied from online and he stands at the front of the class and just reads off of the slides. Bring your laptop and at least get some other classwork done while you sit in the class because he is extremely boring in his lectures. He told us our midterm would be part multiple choice, part matching, and part fill in the blank. Much to our surprise, he handed out a midterm that was 100% fill in the blank. His study guides do not help at all- he just puts every single general thing on a piece of paper and calls it a "study guide." Not to mention the midterm and final were extremely difficult. Take another professor if you can.
