Popescu is incredibly inept at explaining the material at hand, unable to answer questions clearly, and is entirely passive aggressive. He'll acts like all your questions are stupid, and like the reason you don't know the answer is solely because you didn't pay attention, not because he wasn't able to explain clearly. He had pop quizzes once a week (either Monday or Wednesday, but a surprise as to which day) and had a zero tolerance policy for missing the quiz. There were 7 other people from two studios going on a field trip (excused absence) and we asked him what would happen if there was a quiz in our absence. He said that if we miss it then we wouldn't be able to make it up because the architecture department shouldn't treat studio as more important than ARCE. On another occasion during arch final reviews, over half the class had been up for several days working on models and someone asked if he could extend the due date for homework. He sent out a mass email saying that we shouldn't have procrastinated our architecture work so much that we didn't have time for ARCE, when that was not why we were so pressed for time. He acts like he has an agenda against the architecture department and takes it out on his students. And worse, he can't teach. Avoid him if you can, otherwise get a Chegg account so you'll actually learn something.

Radu aka Ragu str8 outta P R I N C E T O N, son. OVERQUALIFIED af. Man's a genuis. Gets sassy when you ask him stupid questions, such as anything concerning sign convention. Just be prepared to hear "Just do thees," or "It doesn't mah-ter" a lot, any time you ask him a question. Quizzes started difficult but he dumbed them down over time as his disappointment got higher. they call ya boy ".org" cuz he the o-riginal r-omanian g-angster
