Daria is really fun to hear from. She's made several movies and documentaries and gets really excited about teaching her students. She isn't always the best at recognizing the problems that her students are having, but she tries to be a good teacher. I'd recommend taking classes with her. She recognizes that her students are learning and grades fairly.

Daria Matza is a good professor to take for multimedia journalism (JOUR 285). She is very helpful when it comes to teaching students how to use equipment (tripod, video camera, camera) and Adobe Premiere (which she dedicates a whole lecture to). Daria is helpful during office hours and is always willing to answer students' questions. Grading in this class was fair. Course work load for Daria's class was reasonable and neither excessive nor easy. The mid-term and final were both online and multiple choice and accurately reflected the course material.

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.
