I honestly adored this class and Professor. Ms. Hendricks is boderline adorable with how passionate she is about her subject, and she has a unique ability to project that enthusiasm onto her students. I'm a Political Science major, which is somewhere near the farthest thing from Theater that you can get. But I LOVED THIS CLASS. Unlike some Professors who know SO MUCH about their subject that they come across as condescending, Professor Hendricks is understanding of student difficulties and is kind and happy to help. I would liken her to a cool older sister who only wants the best for you. If you work her for her, she will appreciate you and acknowledge your efforts. As for the workload, if you just do the readings and try to pay attention you'll probably get a B in the class. If you are engaged during class, though, and actually try to appreciate the textbook (and plays) for their information and artistic value, you have a good shot at an A in this course. I highly recommend Ms. Hendricks and that is from someone who didn't appreciate the value of theater before taking this course as a requirement.

Special Activity Class: Accents and Dialects First time class was offered and absolutely loved it! Spent first few weeks on phonetic alphabet before Detail Model (General American), Received Pronunciation (British), and American Southern. Five quizzes and 2 scenes. Super chill.

I learned that if I were to take up hunting, I should shoot deer, not bears, because a bear will hunt me back if I successfully wound it. Fascinating! I didnt know that the key to production and operations management was so brutally simple!
