Not an easy class, but Dr. Milbourne is an incredible professor. Not only that, she's smart, friendly, and helpful. She's a tough grader but it helped me learn what ways I could improve on for her future assignments. She's amazing in office hours too for one-on-one help. And FYI, she loves using GoogleDocs. Overall, I would highly recommend her.

Excellent professor. I have never really been a fan of writing and english classes, but Milbourne makes your time worth it. She is really engaging and makes the class really interesting. I did not find her that difficult, but you do need to go into office hours to get revisions on projects. But, if you do go for revisions and implement what she says she recognizes your effort and you will most likely do well on the assignment. She makes going into office hours before a project is do extremely easy!! She puts up a time sheet to sign up for times and makes her self super available for a whole week. Overall I feel like I learned a lot and really enjoyed the class. She's all about no bs and no stupid busy work assignments, so the class just has 3 projects. But at the end of the day it is what you make of it. Take her if you can!

Not a bad professor but definitely not the best. The class is based off of activities and discussions. Students are required to bring a laptop to class to participate within the single Google Docs for that day. Easy B, but still a B.

Dr. Milbourne is a really intelligent, well-spoken, and dedicated professor. At first I thought apprehensive about the course because the syllabus was a bit intimdating, but she really works with the class to make sure we all understand the material and what's expected of us. You can tell she really wants her students to succeed. Sometimes the assignments were vague on the syllabus, so you definitely have to attend class if you want to know what she's looking for because she'll usually detail what she wants in person, rather than on the syllabus.

Dr. Milbourne is a great lady. She cares about her students and presents material in a way that keeps things interesting, where discussion could be extremely boring. Class is a series of group activities. They are really fun, but towards the end of the quarter people start to lag and participate less. This was an amazing class and my writing has already improved as a result of taking it from her.

Professor Milbourne is one of my favorite teachers. She’s really understanding when you need help and always welcomes feedback. She’s a fair but tough grader. Every point counts in her class, so definitely get the books she suggests and read the pages that are required. It’s never an insane amount to read or tough material. Take time to ask her questions if you don’t understand something and study for the quizzes and midterm. The questions on the midterm are just like the ones on the quizzes and the practice examples in class. Overall, Professor Milbourne is great! Take her any chance you get!

Professor Milbourne is probably the sweetest, nicest, most lively teacher I've ever had. The homework load is very light and only consists of weekly quizzes from the material from the week before and studying only took me about 30-45 minutes before class. She is so thoughtful and really cares about all of her students and their success. She's super passionate about English too so the class is never boring. The class activities keep you engaged and you always get to work with the people around you and talk. I've learned so much about grammar that I know is going to help me throughout life and I've made some really good friends in this class too. Overall 10/10 recommended. Love her
