Simply put, Volpe is the man. Probably the best professor I have had at Cal Poly. The homework is fairly difficult but manageable and there are only 5 of them for the quarter. Go to his office hours and he will talk you through them. If you pay attention in class you can easily get a B at least

Professor Volpe has been one of the best professors I have had at Poly. He genuinely cares about his students and does his best to teach the material in a way that we will understand. He's incredibly intelligent but is able to teach students difficult information in an obtainable way. I wish he taught more AGB classes! I can't wait to be in his class again. Great personality and easy to talk to. TAKE HIS CLASS!

I thought Volpe was a great professor. He genuinely cares about his students and will explain things as many times as it takes you to understand. He's an awesome instructor and makes class entertaining with his enthusiasm and passion for each subject. Everyone should take his class and go to his office hours.

He is, without a doubt, my favorite professor I have ever had. He knows so much about the material and presents it in a way that makes sense. He is extremely relatable and his examples are always interesting an funny. Really great guy, would love to just sit down and have a beer with him. I don't think I've ever come across a professor that cares so much about the students and the material. Dude could read the phonebook and make it interesting. You owe it to yourself to take one of Volpe's classes at least once while you're at Poly.

Dr. Volpe is so passionate about this subject that it made me excited to be in his class. He explains the topics extremely well and builds a relationship with his students that allow you to feel comfortable approaching him and attending his office hours. He is all around a great guy and a wonderful teacher!

Dr. Vople's classes are challenging but he finds a way to make each class meeting engaging and entertaining. I always looked forward to going to class and took away a lot from his class. Even though the class may be challenging, he has an open door policy and is always willing to work with you on any questions you may have. He is extremely passionate about his students and the subject matter, which came across in each of his lectures. He is a fantastic teacher and every AGB student should take at least one of his classes!!

If you are looking for a professor, or should I say "Dr", who has ZERO industry or career experience, then this is your guy. Little Ricky contains no real life experience, knowledge, and it is clear from day one! Little Ricky is a complete academia who hasn't spent a day working in a real job, and really didn't teach me anything. If you want a brush up on some high school lessons , like price of elasticity or profit margin, then this is your class! If you are paying for college and value your education, then take another course. I know that 90% of people really enjoy Ricky, and that is because they fall into one of two groups. The first is that they are female, and it is extremely interesting how is office hours are always filled with females..... odd but not my point! The second group is, if you don't care about school and just do what he says! If you are a female, or mindless robot, then I highly recommend this course! However, if you value your time, education, then please find another elective. This course bored me to death due to the lack of new info and the terrible ways he tried to implement it. I felt like half the time we were just aiding his research or studies while gaining nothing out of it. If you are serious about school, I would skip this class. I have no idea why our department hired him, and wish they would make room for teachers who actually have the connections/networking/relations/experience outside of the classroom. All in all, the only thing I took away from this course was remembering when Little Ricky would say "I might not know anything about this or how it works, but this is what I think...." To me that just said, I'm sorry I don't have any real answers because I spent all my time looking at useless theories. Which explains why he is teaching now, but for a school that emphasizes a hands on approach, I thought we would see less of these useless types.

Dr. Volpe is absolutely a great professor. He is very personable and is always will to help students. I had him 8am on Friday and I always loved going to his class. He is exactly what the cal poly departments needs. I hope he stays at poly for a long time.

Dr. Volpe is one the most interesting professors I've had at Cal Poly. He's very approachable and considerate, yet also pretty goofy. He makes the class very conceptual and doesn't waste your time with busy work. Also, he doesn't require a textbook... which is awesome. If you have the chance to have a class with him, Do it!!

I have had Dr. Volpe three times and each class experience has been the same… INCREDIBLE! When it comes to the course material, you'll be given homework assignments about every two weeks but the best part is that he allows you to work in pairs. You are then given one midterm, a group project, and no final! My advice would be to attend all his classes for the sake of your midterm grade but also go for the amusement. There is never a dull moment in Dr. Volpe’s lecture. My next bit of advice would be to stop by his office hours. Dr. Volpe is by far one of the most welcoming professors in the department. As a graduating senior, one of my biggest regrets is not taking every single class he offers. I am certainly going to miss that Jameson loving, ninja fighting, batman buckle wearing dude!

As everyone's said, Volpe is the fucking man. He cares about his students and is willing to go the extra mile to help you out. I've had him for both AGB 422 and 425 and loved both. Based on his outfits Volpe must have a 10 inch dick and balls to match, because few professors would rock bright green pants or a batman belt buckle. On a more serious note, his homework assignments are pretty difficult but they teach you great skills and he's always willing to help you with them. He makes his classes just difficult enough that you learn, but not so hard you will be overwhelmed. Hands down the best professor in the AGB department, so take any class he offers

Dr. Volpe is by far, one of the best professors at Cal Poly. I have been recommended to take this class multiple times through out my years at Poly, and I'm so glad I did. Supply chain management is a hands on, fun class, that involves a significant amount of group work. The class itself is pretty straight forward, and I recommend getting in a group you are comfortable with. I would highly recommend this class, and Dr. Volpe in general, to any student looking to take an AGB class. He is fully committed to his students success, and always has his door open for any questions and concerns. Do yourself a favor, and enroll.

Dr. Volpe is an awesome teacher. A bit unorthodox and doesn't always have a perfect idea of what his exercises are going to turn out like but I think thats what makes them somewhat exciting. Word of advice, make sure to call him Dr. or he won't answer you. Also, if you don't goto office hours you are not going to get an A on the homeworks. Im not saying this class is an easy A but it has been a lot more interesting than say policy or finance. Plus Volpe keeps you very entertained with his colorful language and variety of belt buckles.

If you are a good student then this class is an easy A. However, I do not recommend taking Volpe. I went into Volpe's class really looking forward to having him as a professor, but I was extremely disappointed. Many AGB students rave about how cool he is, but these students are the kind of kids who love to kiss their teacher's ass. If you value your education and want to feel like your money has been well spent then Volpe's class is not for you. He regularly misses classes, pays attention only to the brown nose kids, and loves to waste everyone's time. I went to his office hours a handful of times (I took 328 with him also) and each visit was a total waste. The class consists of random in-class quizzes (1 question and if you get it wrong then you're left with a 0%), a few HW assignments, 1 midterm, no final, 1 paper, and 1 project. We did the STUPIDEST in class exercises that no one understood. Nothing about this class is hard, but it is extremely frustrating. If you're okay with sucking up to a teacher so that they like you and pay attention to you then take this class. If you're like me an you'd rather die than be a brown nose then I'd look elsewhere.
