I love this guy! He presents material interestingly and clearly. Take him at every chance you get! He helps you with anything you don't understand and is always happy to answer questions for you.

I love Mr. Lund! He is an AWESOME lecture... It would be easy to make equine reproduction incredibly, painfully boring. But between his powerpoint slides complete w/ sound effects designed to keep you awake through the 8AM 4 morning a week class, and also considering he's a great lecturer anyway, it was a great class! He has good stories about his days as a cowboy, and other good stories, and they somehow usualy tie in to the lecture. And if they don't, well, they're worth hearing anyway. He's really great at listening if you have something you need to talk with him about. He really helps you out with something if you don't understand it. Wonderful class--I didn't have to take it and not too many people take 5-unit classes for an elective, but I really realy liked it. And I learned a whole lot.

In ASCI 333 Lund covered many aspects of the horse breeding industry, anatomy and reproductive physiology and the elusive reproductive cycle of the mare. Every one of his early early 8 AM lectures is presented as an organised powerpoint slideshow that goes hand in hand with the class supplement. Lab was a fun and organized mix of handling mares, watching vets at work and 'collecting' that stallion, which is possibly the funniest thing ive ever seen.. and everyone gets a chance to do it! Class is well organized and directed. Mr. Lund is readily availible for help and will all but stop class to answer your questions; each of which is addressed with clairity and equal emphesis. If you want to learn how to make baby horses, this is the class... NO HOMEWORK, only study.. Waking up at 7 am for a week to tease mares was weak as hell.. but it has to be done. and the baby horses are so awesome!! a fun class for sure, but will be difficult if the subject doesnt grab you. it is 5 units!

Mr. Lund is AWESOME!! i loved this class even though it started at 8am, 4 days a week. he's great at lecturing and is always open for questions. he knows everything there is about equine reproduction and everything up at the horse unit. just some tips about the class: 2 midterms, 1 final, pop quizzes(don't miss a day, u might miss a quiz and there are no makeups and u can drop your lowest grade), try not to miss the lecture because hearing him say it is a lot better then reading outlined notes, there are a few interesting movies. though the labs were fun, guaranteed u will never get out of it early. this class is not too hard, just studying your notes and make flashcards. this class made me very motivated to continue in the equine field! take it!!!

Mr. Lund tries to do a good job with his class. Lecture is hard to take if you know much about reproduction as he often presents material incorrectly in the interest of "simplification". Also beware that he requires correct spelling of everything, whether or not he spells it correctly himself. Lab is informative, and well run as a lab. However, it is not an example of how to run a real breeding operation as communication among the people at the horse unit is abysmal and mares miss shots and inseminations and ultrasounds all the time. It is an interesting class and not too difficult, if you can handle the frustration.

Mr. Lund is a great proffesor. He kept class interesting and all the quizzes and test are VERY fair. There is never homework or reading. His grading policy is straight ofrward and based on points. Lab can get boring if you dont step up and do something. You do have to tease mares seven times early in the morning. This class is required for ASCI students but I reccomend it to anyone who is interested in Equine Reprodcution!

Mr. Lund is awesome! There is nothing more to say about him. His tests are fair, usually cover exactly what he elaborates on in class, the labs are not too bad (of course they are still 3 hours long but what can you do!). His "Pop" quizzes are almost always on Fridays and he is understanding if you have to miss class! He knows soooo much about horses including every name of every horse at the unit, as well as the babies names and who their fathers were. The man is nothing short of INCREDIBLE! Just come to class do your thing, study a little bit everyday and the A is in your pocket!!! I highly recommend taking this class!

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.
