Alice is an interesting lady. If you want to talk for hours about handicapped ramps, stairs and curbs, this is the class for you. Alice has the wierdest laugh like, heee-heee-heee. She is a bit hard to understand at times because english is a second language. She always forgets to leave out words like it, the, a, etc. The key to an A in this class is graphics, not design because i thought my design sucked but i got an A cause of my drawings.

I think hands down she is the most knowledgable landscape architect at Cal Poly. Too bad she retired, or isn't there anymore at least as of 2002. Unlike the majority of the other LA professors who only have maybe a year each of professional practice experience, Alice has been working the whole time. She doesn't pat you on the back when you BS some giant windmill with pink ribbons on it and explain that it represents the freedom of the sky, she calls it crap and moves on. If you want to know what you are really going to be doing when you graduate from LA take her class. She knows her stuff and will teach you what she knows. Though if you do want to get an A, suck up big time. Just like other LA profs, it is the only way to get an A as they have no real grading standards.
