Although I recieved a D in this class it was not at all the teachers' fault. Dr. Little is a great teacher with your best interest in mind. He's smart, funny, and makes you think a good deal- about Spanish and Spanish-related topics. He wants to teach you about all of Spanish (unlike your average high school teacher who only teaches the bare minimum). His tests, quizes, and essays (2 of them) are very fair and fairly graded. My suggestion is just to keep up with the workbook homework, internet homework and verb tenses.

Dr. Little was one of the best teachers that I have had at Poly. He listens to his students and gives you opportunities to grow in your spanish language skills. I have had him for two quarters and I am a bout to take him for a third. If you get the opportunity, deffinately take his class, you will learn a ton!

Little teaches a boring class. I have taken a few classes from him now and we do the same exact thing every class time.

I took this course as part of the Spanish Minor requirement after a 3 year break between classes. I was very concerned I wouldn't do well and did average on the first essay. The entire class is essay, two rough drafts and a final and one in class midterm and then the in class essay final. Professor "Pequeno" is excelent! He will work with you in office hours and he has almost convinced me to change majors to Modern Languages. I adored his class. The text is BORING. It's all about how to write an essay and grammer rules and such. He made the class fun though and I was saddened to have it end. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. The class will take several hours per week of research and re-writing, but if you already write fairly well and love to write and work on you Spanish, he is a great professor to have.

Dr. Little is by far one of the professors on this campus. He explains the material really well and really gets you interested in learning in. I really enjoyed his lectures and he goes out of his way for you to learn the material. I use to hate Spanish Literature and he sparked a new interest in me. I would recommend this professor to anyone without a doubt.

Dr Little is a great proffesor, he goes out of his ways to help you get a good grade and learn Spanish. He won't give anything to you, he'll make you work for your grade. Overall he's just a good teacher.

This class consisted of multiple choice and essay question quizzes, midterms and final as well as two essays which we only got to one. We were given a picture of the author and we had to know rough dates of birth, death, several things about their lives and what famous works they had written and when. We had to analyze poetry, short story and play. We learned all the technical vocabulary envolved in each category. We wrote and discussed a whole lot every day. I loved this class. This class actually convinced me to change majors from Math to Modern Languages. I was very sad to see the quarter end in this class. Professor Little is wonderful in every sense of the word. He is helpful in office hours, patient and yet still expects you to work hard in his class. He doesn't "give" A's. You earn every point you get through a lot of studying. DON'T expect to be able to slack off in this class and do okay, but as long as you truly work at it an A or B is possible. TAKE THIS CLASS, but only if you are willing to work at it.

I took this class hoping to actually read spanish literature (that is the name of the class, isn't it?) before you take this class, you should be aware of the type of tests he gives. on the test, you are given photos of the authors and you have to memorize what they look like and the dates they were born and died. i honestly cannot remember any of this useless memorization now. i definately enjoyed the poetry and short stories that we read. little is a good teacher, but i wish that he had spent less time on the lives of the authors (which no doubt is interesting), and more time on the actual works of the authors. you also have to write an essay, a lot of work, but i learned a lot from writing it. WARNING: this class is A LOT of work.
