Lewis is a great teacher! I had her for recitation for PSY 202. She's actually a psycologist so she has a lot of good insight on what psycology actually means. There were a hanfull of assignments she required for the class. None of them were particularly hard. The reason I got a C was because of the midterms that you take in the lecture part of the class. I thought the tests, which were multiple choice, would be easier but there are a lot of things you need to memorize. READ THE BOOOOKKKKKK and TAKE GOOD LECTURE NOTES!!!!!!...and take Lewis if you actually wanna learn some cool stuff about psych!

Although not the most interesting lecturer, she really is a nice lady. Her lectures were sometimes very relevant to the lecture, and sometimes they were totally random. She gives out a few worksheets, which are mostly just busy work, but some of them are related to lecture. She went over old test questions the recitation before each exam, and about 50% of the questions were actually on the test (like exactly the same questions) which was EXTREMEMLY helpful! I would recomend taking her, it will boost your exam grades and she's a knowledgeble, friendly professor.

Really nice lady and knows a lot about what she's talking about. She offers homework that is really helpful as practice problems for the exams. Most of the questions actually end up on the exams. Go to her office hours! She helped a lot in understanding odd concepts.

I liked Dr. Lewis. I had her for my recitation class and it was a breeze. It was only one hour once a week so ill admit i did ditch her class a few times throughout the quarter. She did a great job at explaining what we will be discussing during lecture, but thats all she did during recitation...hence why i would ditch her class. She would assign worksheets for homework so if you do ditch make sure you get the homework from someone in class. She has you do your homework on scantrons so be ready to spend a couple quarters just on homework. I just wished I had studied a little more to get a better grade because isnt that hard.Other than that I would take her again in the future. She really knows what shes talking about and definitely leaves you with some interesting facts and information you could use in your everyday life. TAKE DR. LEWIS!!

Recitations are a pretty easy way to get a good grade in Psych 202 as it counts for 25 percent of the grade. Professor Lewis is always helpful and very clear in her explanations. She reviews extensively before each test and has a good set of office hours. Definitely recommend her recitation.

Lewis is an extremely nice lady. She knows a lot about her subject and has vast experience. Her review sessions are extremely helpful. She straight up tells her class that some of her review questions are taken directly off of the exams. Excellent teacher, very sympathetic

Dont get me wrong, Lewis is a really nice lady and seems like a great person. When it come to teaching at Cal Poly though, I think she could do a little more. yeah her discussion is easy as hell and yes there is no point in going. Well thats great but when the test rolls around and the only thing you do in discussion is a few class-answered mulitiple choice questions, there is not much benefit in having Lewis as your discussion leader. Other classes do study guides that count for extra credit. In lewis there is weekly homework which helps because it forces you to look at the material. Overall take robin if all your concerned about is passing and having an easy quarter. If you trying to get an A though, you may want to think about another prof.

Lewis is the best discussion teacher for this class. Definitely take her. Extremely easy homework that can be done in 10 minutes which she curves as well. During the discussion we just do nothing and look over actual test problem when we review for the midterms. By far the easiest discussion teacher

Dr. Lewis is a very sweet and caring woman. She is very understanding of students and usually pretty generous with her grading. She only gives out three homework assignments that are fairly easy and three quizzes (which are each only 10 questions) per quarter. Her speaking voice is very quiet, so if you have trouble staying awake during class I would not suggest taking one of night sections.

So far she has been the nicest professor I have met at Cal Poly. She is very knowledgeable of her field, and she prepares the students well for their midterms and final, touching up on the main points. She is soooo understanding! In my opinion, she grades waaay too easy because she always curves homework and quizzes. She gives you all your participation points as long as you come to discussion every week. You don't even have to speak up! She is a great professor who wants her students to do well.

Lewis was awesome. The overall Psych 202 class format proved to be difficult for me as I could not master the tests. Although Lewis was very nice interesting professor who was very knowledgeable on her section of psych.

I really had a hard time connecting with this professor. We would come in every week and just sit there. There was no room for discussion, which was the reason for the class, to discuss the lecture. This didn't help with any of the tests and I don't feel that I gained anything from going to the discussion section. There was very poor communication between students and Lewis. She couldn't get the grade book working and wouldn't answer questions about grades. She instead sent out mass emails telling everyone to stop bothering her about grades. The homework and quizzes required intense reads of the book.

This lady was an angel. The class, however, was a little harder than you might've thought. The big lectures seem easy to skip, but make sure you have some kind of rotation among your friends for note-taking. Note that I'm not saying go to the lectures- they're long and almost impossible to stay awake for, and the temptation is there in a big lecture hall. The tests are best prepared for 2-5 days in advance, and you'll get a B or higher. Study the night before and you'll still pull off a C.

One of the easiest classes I've taken here...she gives you three exams based on learning objectives and lecture, but just doing the learning objectives will get you an A on the tests, no prob. There's a lot of busy work, but I BS-d most of it and still pulled an A in the class. Sweet. Robin, you're a cool teacher!

She's pretty cool. The grading was very fair, and she even gave us a break towards the end of the quarter by giving less weight to our lowest test score and giving more weight to our hightest test score. There were only a couple homework assignments, and they were very easy...usually just a survey or a worksheet (they take 10 minutes tops). The grade consisted of 3 or 4 tests, a paper, and a final. The paper was easy. She's pretty interesting to listen to, but i'll warn you now, she bobs her head from side to side and it's really annoying at first, but you get used to it. If you want a fair class, take this one. The subject matter was interesting too.

Dr. Lewis is a wonderful professor and personality is an interesting class. There were 3 multiple choice/short answer tests that were not cummulative. Sometimes the book can be boring, but if you keep up with the reading, Dr. Lewis's lectures are more interactive. There was quite a bit class participation, which was nice. And we only did a few in class activities with each other. The tests are fair; she draw a lot from the book. There is one, small paper due at the end of the quarter. The final is not cummulative and it is only multiple choice. This class was great, and Dr. Lewis is delightful.

Dr. Lewis has an amazing amount of knowledge. She really knows her stuff. You will learn a lot in this class. There are four tests each multiple choice and short essay (except the final which is only multiple choice). There is also a final paper. The tests are extrememly fair and do a good job making sure that you learned your stuff! Good class, great professor.

Dr. Lewis is a great teacher. She's very soft spoken and very smart! She loves her job and would do anything for her students. She puts up overheads for lecture notes, and they cover all the material. Her tests will be on the study guide questions but sometimes she uses very sophisticated words and the questions can be hard to understand. Just do your reading and you will do fine :)

Lewis for Personality was a very good teacher and presented her material very clearly in her lectures and learning objectives. If you do the learning objectives and study them, there's no reason not to get an A on the quizzes. She gives 4 quizzes (1 is the final) and it's easier this way than 2 big midterms because there's less to study. She would also give us handouts of notes occasionally so we wouldn't have to write as much. She's very empathetic with students. The only drawback to taking Lewis for personality versus Ryujin is that she had you do a final 10 page paper and it was the only way to get an A in the class. The paper topics were interesting though (choose a famous personality and discuss it according to the theories or a topic that interests you) and it really helped to practice writing research papers and to really learn the course material. Overall, she is a great teacher, definitely not the most exciting lecturer, but she tries and the material is pretty interesting.

Prof. Lewis is a very kind woman.. good-willed and wants the best for her students. Getting an A in the class is entirely dependent on your work ethic. The requirements are simple... do the assigned readings and make sure u know the theories and studies. If you read the material immediately before test day, i found that everything was still fresh in memory and easy to recall. for the essay portion of the tests, make sure you include key words that you see in the reading, even if she did not mention it in class... this shows that youve done your hw.

Dr. Lewis is one of the nicest, most sincere teachers I have had at Cal Poly. Although her lectures sometimes got a little dry, she really knows her stuff and the subject itself was interesting enough on its own. She really cares about her students and wants them to do well and succeed. She is very understanding and helpful. If you can, take her class but make sure you DO THE READING before the exams! If you attend lecture regularly and do all the assigned reading you will breeze through the exams no problem. If you don\'t read, you WILL have a hard time on the tests. She even gives out study guides for the exams. Overall, I loved Dr. Lewis\' class!

Dr. Lewis is an incredible professor and person. This class was definitely not always the most entertaining, and I often dreaded going to it, but once I was there Dr. Lewis made it worth while because she was so kind and made you smile. We had 4 exams -- the 1st was weighted less than the others so we could \"get used to\" how she gave the exams. They were extremely straight forward -- multiple choice and a couple short answers. Her short answers usually came from class discussions. Read the book, it\'s an easy read and it will help you on the exam, but don\'t stress too much because the tests really aren\'t that difficult. I would definitely recommend this class and Dr. Lewis in general.

This is an extremely easy class. Lewis is knowledgeable and a stereotypical therapist. She has her own practice and is extremely educated. I attended most of the lectures and did all the reading and filled out all the objectives. Memorize everything on the objectives and it's an easy A. I found the subject interesting, but the lectures were pretty boring. Most of the test material came from the book/objectives, but she can be tricky and sneak lecture material on the test too. Good luck!

Dr. Lewis is absolutely amazing. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met and you can tell that she really cares about her students. Her class is fairly easy if you do the readings and understand all of the questions that she provides on the study guides before the exams. It is really important to actually understand the concepts rather than just briefly study the questions, because she does put questions that test application of your knowledge. Also, there are a few brief writing assignments, but as long as you fulfill her outlined requirements you will get an A on them. I highly recommend taking a class with Dr. Lewis!

Dr. Lewis is absolutely amazing for this course! While the work load seemed a bit high, it was no higher than any other professor for Psy 323. For Dr. Lewis, you have to meet with your Helpee 3 times (50-60 minutes), then for each of them, choose a 5 minute (7 for the 2nd one) section and write a word-for-word transcript, and then offer a new sugguestion for what you could have said, and then write a paper on it. If you actually take the time to do these assignments with some care, then there is really no way that you are going to do poorly in this class. It's really not a class that you regurgitate information in...it's more like gaining experience as a counselor...there's no way you can go wrong if you pay attention! (Plus Lewis is just so sweet and understanding and nice and....)

Dr. Lewis makes this class really interesting. I was honestly dreading taking it but now that i have, it was one of my favorite classes. She lectures some but makes it very interesting, informative, and relivant. SHe is a very fair grader. This class requires a lot of time outside of classtime but it is all worth it and it is not hard stuff, just can be time consuming. She is very student oriented, she tries very hard to help you in anyway she can. SHe is very friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone taking this class or any class taught by her!

Every once in awhile, you get the rare opportunity to take a class that changes your life. This class, Psych 323 with Dr. Lewis, was one of those classes. My only regret was taking this class during my first quarter after transferring to Poly. Even though it is one of those 3-hour classes where you're going to be staying the entire time (regardless of whether she says she'll let you out early or not), it's definitely worth it. I honestly can't say enough good about this class or Dr. Lewis. There's definitely a reason that she won Professor Of The Year for the College Of Liberal Arts.

Dr. Lewis is a delightful woman, always smiling and cheerful. Although I liked her personality, her class was a bit harder to enjoy. The lectures were sometimes hard to follow, and although she said her tests would contain general questions, some were very detailed. Minute points often appeared on tests, and the tests were difficult even though I studied for hours beforehand. The good thing was that Dr. Lewis added a few points to each of our tests because she always threw out the most-missed and most difficult questions, and she made our worst test grade only worth half the amount. All in all, it wasn't a bad class but just remember that you'll probably have to study REALLY hard to get an A.

Tedious, boring, elementary.... I deeply dreaded this class. Not to mention she is on some sort of power trip and doesn't allow anyone to get up and go to the bathroom. "We must all break at the same time", she demanded! Seriously, we are not children. Course load was mainly filled with busy work and mundane assignments. Ugh.
