Dr. Sprayberry is one of the best people I've ever met. She is a world-renowned equine vet with a wealth of experience, insight, and and extremely intelligent person. She is NOT one of those super-smart professors who make you feel stupid. She loves to share knowledge, and will even review unclear concepts for AN HOUR in her office hours until she knows you understand the material...that's how much she cares about her students. She is extremely kind, humble, and caring, and a very good teacher. She gives partial credit on her tests if you can show that you know the material, but she still holds her students to a high standard (not a pushover professor). The quarter I took her class, I had to make up for lost class time after an accident, and she was so understanding and helped me get back on my feet in the class. If you have her for the lab, you are lucky...we did tons of cool dissections, necropsies, painted the skeleton on a horse, etc. I seriously wish I could adopt her as a cool, super nice aunt.

Spray is really a fantastic teacher and rolemodel. We are so lucky to have her here at cal poly. She is so kind and responsive to any questions students have, she provides study sessions, her slides are awesome. Her tests are made so well to test you and to get you to know the info. She is also incredible to have help with any animal problems. She has helped numerous times with the ccattle at CP and always goes above and beyond. She is defffinitely a teacher I respect the most.

Honestly the sweetest human being and lecturer in the world. She is so humble and kind and has so much knowledge it's amazing. She loves to answer questions and nothing you ask could ever be seen as dumb in her eyes. She wants you to do well, she will try everything to get you to do well. Utilize her as a fantastic resource. She also taught vet clinic enterprise when I took it which was one of the most impactful classes I have ever taken.

TAKE HER! Dr. Sprayberry is such an amazing professor. She really cares about her students and will come up to you once the course is over to see how you are doing. Her tests are completely fill in the blank & short answers, but she gives a lot of partial credit. I thought I did not do well at all on each of the tests but ended up getting an A on each off them. Definitely read the chapters because some questions she doesn't cover in class. Labs were very fun and hands-on. As long as you put effort into the class, it should be an easy A.

DR. Sprayberrry is the greatest! Very understanding, compassionate, and humble. She is very well educated and communicates information in lecture clearly. She is very approachable, and willing to answer any al all questions to the best of her ability. Systemic physiology is very difficult though. There's a lot of material to cover in a short span of time and it's fairly overwhelming. Because there's so much material, we can't always cover nearly half of it in lecture. She does however, ensure to you inform you of what you will be tested on.

Where do I even begin? Dr. Sprayberry is one of the brightest professors I have EVER had, both in knowledge and personality. Her expansive knowledge of veterinary medicine stems from her own education, years as a veterinarian, and career in teaching. She strives to impart as much wisdom on her students as she can within the 10-week class. No question is stupid to ask - she has never made a student feel "stupid" for asking a "stupid" question. She takes her role as an instructor seriously and only tries to improve her students' knowledge. The course is fast-paced so be prepared to do a monumental amount of reading outside of lecture - that's just how it goes with an upper div class like this. With that being said, you will reap the rewards of your dedication to this class. Showing up/being engaged in lecture, reading/studying at home, and fining a few students to study with will guarantee you do well in this class. Literally everything you learn in this class is applicable in the real world, even if you are not moving on to Vet School. The things you learn in this class will carry on to any career you choose as well as your own life and understanding of how life functions. I cannot recommend this class AND Dr. Sprayberry enough.

Dr. Kim Sprayberry is the humblest person I have ever met. A veterinarian whose incredible credentials and amazing reputation precede her, she is world-renowned for her abilities and expertise. Her humility actually made me underestimate her expertise and fame. Despite all these reasons as to why she's a celebrity in the world of equine veterinary medicine, there couldn't be a sweeter, kinder person out there. Sprayberry is an absolute genius, and uses her smarts to help students, answer questions, inspire, and teach well. I've never been made to feel stupid in her presence - even with questions I myself have later deemed "stupid". Sprayberry seems a little new to teaching, as sometimes she can get a little disorganized and flustered. Also, she can go through info a little fast/cover it at a slightly more advanced level than some students can grasp. Despite being newer to teaching, Dr. Sprayberry still inspires every student who has the privilege to learn from her. If you can, take a class with her - even if it's just the Vet Clinic Enterprise. You'll be glad of the chance to learn from her!
