Human resources management was by far the best class i've taken while being at Poly. Jesse was an amazing teacher. His power points and book actually correlated to his test material! A high percentage of your grade is based on participation which I thought was going to be hard at first, but the material and the way he teaches his class is so engaging that it is hard not to contribute. The tests are straight-forward as long as you do you're reading. I highly recommend this teacher for all students taking this class!

Best class I've taken at Cal Poly. Jesse is awesome! Would recommend any of his classes! The lectures are relevant to the tests and to real life situations. Participation really does affect your grade, but he makes every class very engaging and interactive. He's completely different from so many professors who just stand up there and talk about stuff that may or may not be relevant. A lot of in-class discussions are based on case study examples, and the tests are pretty straightforward. If you study the book and review the PowerPoints and key terms you'll do fine. Take this class, required or elective, you won't regret it!
