The class is not too difficult, and the concepts are easy to understand. Every class is basically 2 hours of her going over powerpoint slides of the assigned reading. The assignments are pretty easy, but the midterm and final are really tough. Not so much tough in terms of the material, but just the shear amount of essay/short answer questions makes it difficult to finish on time. The biggest problem with the class is that Dr. Khurana often lets the class try to take over the class. The class complained about due dates for assignments and other various complaint. She should have just told them to suck it up and complete things by the date she said, but would often entertain the complaints of some of the members of the class. It was pretty annoying for the people that actually finished their work on time. And she also gave extra credit opportunities for students, but only those that got bad grades on the midterm. Kind of not fair for people that studied and got a good grade. Dr. Khurana is a nice teacher however, and is extremely smart. She also is very helpful to the students and was willing to work with students that had scheduling conflicts arise due to a rescheduling of the midterm. Her response times to emails were very hit or miss, so don't expect her to answer back immediately.

Beena was pretty straight forward and clear about what she expected the first day of class. I felt like the main idea of the class was basically explained in the first week or so and you start to get the feeling that the idea becomes repetitive as the quarter goes on. The class material itself is not necessarily difficult. The toughest area of the class has to be the midterm and final, comprised of 40% multiple choice, 60% essay questions, be prepared to write. The good thing is that all other assignments are pretty easy and there is plenty of them, including a final group project which isn't too involving. I bombed both tests but was able to come out with a B. Beena herself can be a bit forgetful at times, but she is very nice and knowledgeable.

Beena is probably the most intelligent professor I've had at Cal Poly so far. She is such a good lecturer and presents the material in such a way that makes it very easy to understand and remember for the tests. I would highly recommend her.

Would definitely recommend taking Dr. Khurana's class. It was fairly easy and Beena is a very good speaker on the topic, which made the class interesting. There are a few busy work assignments, a midterm, group paper, short group presentation, and a final. Thought it was a great class overall.

Not much homework in the class (roughly 3 assignments and a group project). They are worth more towards your overall grade than the midterm or final is so really try hard on all assigned work. Would not recommend buying the book, just look at her powerpoints and listen closely to her lecture. She pulls questions from the powerpoints, NOT the book. Lots of the material I read was never mentioned & lots of the material discussed in her power points was never something I read from the book. Free response on exams was long but easy if you prepared (she gives you a list of possible topics & guarantees it will be 3/10 from the list). My biggest problem was when I got an 80 on the midterm & debated my response to a free response answer she told me to leave "because I was bragging." Apparently wanting to get a higher grade than the lowest B is not alright... Overall this class was not hard but it was also not an easy A. The professor was pretty nice, she even brought us chocolate sometimes. The material felt like a combination of philosophy, human resource management, and an international business class which was pretty interesting.
