Schmitt, Michelle  

Michelle Schmitt is my all-time favorite math teacher I have ever had in all my 13 years of schooling. Not only is she so funny, she is so enthusiastic about her topics and you can tell she really loves teaching it. She likes to joke around and tell you funny stories which was a nice break from learning about math for 2 hours from 8-10 on Monday and Wednesday mornings. She explained things so well and was always willing to help with any questions students had. She also was very efficient in getting back to student emails. She was by far my favorite teacher fall quarter 2013. IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO TAKE HER CLASS I SAY 100% DO IT!!!!!!! SHE IS AMAZING!!!

MICHELLE IS AWESOME!!!!!!!! She's super young and relates to students well, and even tries to plan midterms and quizzes later so we aren't overwhelmed. Her grading policy is super straight forward, and her class does not require an overload of extra work. The quizzes are fairly easy, as she does not want to waste class time by giving us ridiculously hard equations. Most importantly, she is great at explaining each step. She does not even skip doing basic multiplication/division, which is super helpful for someone who is not math oriented like me. Besides being a pretty chill class, MICHELLE IS REASON ALONE TO TAKE THIS COURSE. She is always so happy and perky in the mornings, and has the cutest fashion. Not to mention she sometimes brings treats as an added bonus! This class is a stress REDUCER and I hope to have more classes with Michelle in the future!

Michelle is unforgettable. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, witty, and personable. Unfortunately she will no longer be teaching at Cal Poly but I hated and was terrible at Calc until I had her. We need more teachers like this! She will be successful in whatever she does!
