Nosti, Chris  

Mr Nosti or "The Nosti" was a super awesome professor! Being a recent graduate from poly gave him a clear understanding on how to reach students and make a very difficult subject easy to understand. I definitely recommend him for this course. P.S. He has a kick ass job at a local solar company called REC Solar, way too awesome!

Here are the basics for Nosti. It was his first time teaching when he had my class, so things could change. We had 4 homework problems due each day of class, for about 12 problems a week. It doesn't sound like a lot, but each problem takes about 40 minutes. Usually one quiz a week two. He let us take the quizzes in groups of 3, which was really nice. He's also a working professional and a personable guy which is a nice contrast from the standard engineering professor. He's willing to come to school for additional office hours two. Stand up dude.

Chris Nosti is probably the best professor you could ask for ME 211. He recently graduated from Cal Poly as an ME so he can easily relate to student struggles and knows how to help. He pretty much went over every possible kind of example that could possibly appear on the final from each chapter, and you could really tell he wanted all his students to pass. I felt very prepared going into the final and would recommend him for anybody taking statics or any class for that matter.

This is the first C I have recieved in my entire life. I hope that says something to all of you out there watching their GPA. Do not take him--this class was a nightmare!
