This class was a very enjoyable way to fill a GE requirement. The class consisted of one take home midterm, one group project which included a presentation and a paper, a take home final, and class participation. The way she sets up the class, each point that you recieve is worth one percent of your final grade. She has one textbook filled with various stories that reflect the topics of the class and then supplements them with movies. Usually reading assignments and discussions were on Tuesdays, and on Thursdays we watched a movie in class, usually getting out a little early to head to farmers or start the weekend. Make sure you watch the movies and take notes because you will want to be knowledgable about them for the essays. The papers were due online and sometimes there were issues. Make sure that you submit papers plenty of time ahead just in case there is a problem or the system is down. Dr. Sheridan is very willing to help and work with you as long as you put forth an effort to help yourself first. I would highly recommend this class.

She is a separatist/racist. Does not show all grades which gives her an advantage to down grade students if they do not agree with her. The 60's are over it's time to grow up. This class is to talk about historical facts not to use it as a personal soap box. Poor use of State funds to talk about history.
