Dr. Hose was an overall good professor. She's very nice, explains things well and is helpful if you ask her. I would definitely take her again.

If you are considering taking this class - TAKE IT. Professor Hose is an incredible and inspiring (especially if you want to go into healthcare) human! She is in love with what she does and you can tell. She knows this is a lot of material so she flat out tells you what to know with study guides and tables to organize information. I have been so happy to go to this class and lab every day I will miss it

She does a really good job at going into detail on the topics and she really knows her stuff. You definitely have to stay on top of the PolyLearn quizzes and homeworks. Her classes are always relevant and very interesting, and she is pretty good at explaining things, especially if you ask to clarify. My only complaint is in the way she presents the material, which can seem a little disorganized. You have to organize your notes and handouts before studying for a test to make the topics flow together a little better. She also invites a few guest speakers which is great.

It is a very interesting class, but it is very easy to get behind really quickly because there is so much information to memorize right away. There is a lot to know for each test, and it is tricky because she bases the tests on case studies. But she tries to prepare you as much as possible by giving you practice case studies. The midterm was harder than the final because she let us write whatever we wanted on a notecard for the final so everyone did really good on the final. The lab is mainly just looking at blood slides and answering online questions (kinda boring). She has a lot of online homework that is actually hard so be prepared for that. The lab practical seems scary because you have to identify blood diseases and types, but you just have to study for it. Overall this class is interesting and hard (a lot fo work goes into it), but it is doable and you learn a lot, and she is a really nice lady.
