I took Michelle for beginning ballet last quarter and I really liked her. She tries to be intimidating but she really isn't at all. I had a few months of previous ballet training so the class was a little slow, especially at first. She really takes a lot of time correcting individual students which is good in a beginning class but it's boring when you're just waiting for like 5 minutes while she corrects someone. She presents everything very clearly and I learned a lot from her. I would definitely recommend her!

Great teacher! She's very aware of common ballet mistakes that beginners experience and is very helpful in fixing them. I don't think she "tries to be intimidating" at all. She's very kind and loves what she's doing.

Michelle is a lovely person. She smiles all the time and is one the sweetest professors I've had at Cal Poly. You can tell that she truly is passionate about teaching and ballet. She's always patient and understanding. Take her class!!

Michelle is seriously the sweetest human being ever! She is so kind and understanding and does a great job teaching the class. You do have to attend a ballet concert and write a reflection paper about it (due a month or so after the performance) and there is 1 quiz near the end of the quarter (however she does give you all of the material that will be on the quiz so it is very very easy to study for!). As for the final, we learn a dance and perform it in groups so it is not very intimidating. Overall very easy going class, not a huge workload at all! Ballet is a stress reliever and has really improved my posture and flexibility, I will try to take this course again if my schedule allows it. :) 10/10 recommend
