first of all i just want to say that howes will and can never be dr burt. those are some big shoes to fill so i give him props for trying. anyway this class really wasn't too bad. the key is to get a hold of a previous crop paper and go from there and take advantage of his field trip. if you go its and extra 5% grade boost. the bad news is if you're a talker or at all social, he will take off % points of your final grade for talking in class. we thought he was bluffing but he wasn't.......... long live the 2.5%!

I have taken 3 classes from Dr. Howes and he is an excellent teacher and is very knowledgeable about the course material. As for BRAE 331 and 414, it doesn't really matter because you have no other choice, so pay attention and learn. BRAE 532 (Waterwells and Pumps) is a great class that teaches you a ton about pumps. Any CE students that want to learn how to actually size pumps in real life this is a good class to take.
