Alaina is a great addition to the Animal Science department. She is young, intelligent, and very kind. For 265, we halterbreak weanlings, which can sometimes be a controversial process among horse people. But she explained the process extremely well and was very gentle and kind with the weanlings. She utilized good horse psychology and was very helpful when anyone was having struggles with their weanling. I was very impressed with her and look forward to having more classes with her. I think she is going to really sharpen up Cal Poly's Equine program.

Great professor. Knows a lot and is extremely helpful. Very easy to get along with and knows what she is talking about. As far as riding classes, she prefers one on one instruction and doesn't do a whole lot. If you are a more advanced rider, take the class from Pete. But if you are a beginner Alaina is a better option. She is very approachable and tries hard to help her students be successful.

She is awesome! She is very understanding. She takes her time talking to each students during class. She grades easily. I never worked with horses before and sure did learned a lot from this class. If you're having a bad day, this class would bring smiles on your face! Take her!

I loved Alaina! She was the advisor for foaling enterprise and in the few lectures we did have, she presented the material clearly and very well. She also explains how to handle mares and newborn foals well too! I would definately take a class from her! It is obvious she knows what she is doing and she is really nice as well!

344 is a great class to take with Alaina. She is very patient and kind and informative. However, the class size is pretty large and chaotic a lot of the time. But, it is a nice GPA booster for an advisor approved elective. 50 % attendance, 50% final (practical riding test, no written final).
