According to other students I know, Mullikin was a good 346 teacher. She lectured for the first hour, and we met in our groups the second hour. When she lectures it is straight out of the book. Almost verbatum. (I was thankful the book was good.) Also when she is lecturing, she seems kind of distant like she does not connect with the students very well. She often misinterprets our questions that we ask. In our group work, we did mini projects that we started that hour and finished in that hour. Most of the time you finish them early and get to leave 20-30 minutes early. I thought the mini projects were very fun and a lot more hands on learning. She had 3 tests. None of them were comprehensive, but all 3 tests were different styles and different difficulties which made it impossible to adapt to her tests. The last one was extremely hard. I studied for 10 hours and got a 84% while it seemed like everyone that I talked to fell into the C range. She also assigns a group project that counts as our final. It was around 15-20% of our grade. The project is basically a research project on a company and product of your choice. You have to research all the different marketing aspects about this product/company and make your own recommendations on how to improve your product/company. She also passes around a role sheet every class to make sure you are there. Overall I liked the way she structured the class but she could improve on some little things. It was a very "learn-by-doing" class which made it all the more enjoyable.

Pretty good class. In-class mini projects most days, which are pretty fun and good learning. Fairly easy tests, just study powerpoints. Final project is a decent amount of work, and she gives you little direction on it. Had a solid A entire class and spent hours each week working on final group project, ending up to get a B- on it with no feedback, ending up with B+ in class.

For everyone who needs to take 396, avoid Lindsey-Mullikin. She is lecturing on 10-year-old material, she even comments on that the info is not correct and then says, "but we will go with the book." We are learning completely irrelevant material.

DON'T TAKE HER FOR 396. She spends every class reading off the slides that come with her outdated textbook. The material is so old and doesn't feel useful at all. Like we learned about marketing VCR technology?? She is a sweet professor but I don't think she understands how to teach effectively. She has two tests and a group project, and each test is on 9 chapter (over 300 concepts and terms!!) and only puts 50-60 questions on each one. She doesn't give a study guide. She even told our class that "there wouldn't be any statistical questions" when there were multiple on the exam anyways. Just don't do it.

Professor Lindsey-Mullikin is extremely kind and is passionate about the subject she's teaching. The class was very manageable and didn't have too much homework. Tests were straightforward and easy, and she grades exercises fairly. Professor Mullikin cares about her students and loves getting to know them.

Easy going and approachable. This is one of my favorite professors and I recommend her to all students taking business classes.

Mullikin starts the quarter off by saying she is a good teacher and she knows it. I think she should start saying she is a funny teacher and she knows it. Apart from being funny, Mullikin's class was unpleasant. A large portion of the class was dedicated towards doing useless workbook exercises and other unproductive busy work. While the tests were reasonable, I didn't really learn anything from this class and wouldn't recommend this professor.

Really easy class, not gonna lie. She cares a lot about participation by the way. The only reason why I wanted to write about her is that she never updates the grades on your polylearn so you don't know how you're doing during the quarter, you kind of just guess. And then she submits your final grade. Polylearn grade breakdown still not updated. It's really frustrating when you're checking your grades all the time. Especially since it's an easy class, you should be guaranteed at least a B if you do everything she says. Also, her group project is pretty difficult, don't slack on that.

Mullikin is an average teacher. She really tries, but the class is in no way utilized efficiently. It is easy, show up, answer a question here and there, and you should be able to pass the exams. They are straight from her powerpoints... no reading (other than a couple cases). I do recommend going to her for some help on the writeups. The two group reports are blindly assigned... you really are in over your head because she doesn't help at all with it. So work on asking her questions and you should be able to get an A. She is sometimes boring. But pay attention, and you can easily get an A. Or at least review the PPTs.

Useless Class. The content is outdated and she literally points to the slides as she reads them out loud. Waste of time. She teaches nothing about product differentation.

This class is the biggest waste of time - you read cases that are ~30 years old and you can tell she hasn't changed her class in the past 10 years. Her 2 midterms are around 5 multiple choice questions, with the other 10 being short answer (she is very picky about wording). Unfortunately, this class was a huge waste of time and money and would really try to avoid taking 452 with Mullikin if possible. She's a nice lady, but a terrible teacher.
