King was an excellent instructor. He knew what he was talking about and explained things well. He also had good relationships with all the students, and made everyone feel involved in the activities. His class included some hard work, but it was fun and interesting, too. It was my favorite class at Cal Poly so far.

Harris brought invaluable field experience to the classroom. His grading standards were clear, and he was willing to actually help students learn by doing. Our class was fun, informative and a great introduction to a journalism career. Harris and this class is a shiny pearl in the otherwise murky cal poly journalism ocean.

King is one of the BEST teachers, I've had at Poly. He's interesting, funny, and real. And he actually knows what he's talking about, which, let's face it, is a first for any of the teachers in the Journalism department here. I was sick and couldn't take the lab final, so he let me take it home and do it. Its too bad he only teaches sporadically here at Poly, and I heard its because he doesn't get along with the department (BIG FUCKING SURPRISE), but its probably because he's the only one with half a brain, and can see right through the incompetency of the department head and other professors (i.e. Mark Arnold). Anyways, bottom line, I think its a golden opportunity to be able to take a class from the King (as my class referred to him), so if you have the opportunity, DO NOT pass it up.

This clas is an absolute MUST for any student going into broadcast journalism. King is amazing at teaching this course...he is involved, and cares about student advancement. I have improved SO much during the course of this class and couldn't imagine having gone into broadcast without this base. King is not only a professor, but a friend..and anyone could feel comfortable going to him for assistance...in ANY field.
