She seems like she could be a good professor, however, when asked a question in class about any simple matter, she snaps out at you. This class is very fast paced and if you can't keep up immediately, you are given 1-2 break periods to ask questions and pray that you can get caught up. Her catch phrase tends to be, "If you fall behind, stop working and keep up on the board." She fails to realize that with her teaching strategy, that is almost impossible. Countless times when I or a classmate asked for help, rather than explain what she did, she will just enter the data onto Excel to catch you up since the student is wasting her time. Slayter also teaches this course and I recommend him over James based off of other classes that I have had with him.

Professor James is super smart with excel, I knew nothing about excel and now I actually feel pretty smart. The class is hard work expect about 8-10 hours of work per week. If you do everything and meet with the TAs often you will do well. The TAs will become your vital resource for this class. She is strict but its because there is so much material. Good Luck and take it cause it will help you in life when you need to make reports you don't want to in your future carrer.

I liked her class and tried very hard. It was tough, but once you get a feel for the kind of pace she teaches at and how hard the quizzes are, you're not likely to fall behind. You just have to adapt to the fast-paced nature of the class and the material. It was a very useful class, I recommend taking it if you need excel for the career path you wish to follow.

Professor James is a good teacher when it comes to teaching the material and slowly explains what she wants you to know and do. However, she has a very short temper and does not cut any slack to students who she deems as \"trouble makers.\" If you talk when she is talking or even whisper a question to a classmate she will address it immediately. Her hot temper makes the class feel uneasy and puts fear into students rather than providing an open learning environment. I expect to finish the class with a B, however I do not know if I would be able to take another class with this professor in the future because of her attitude.

She presented the material well, and wants the students to learn. It is a hard topic to teach and I think her way of teaching is more applicable in the real world than other 405 teachers. This class is definitely challenging, and if you don't keep up you will not receive a good grade. I spend many long nights doing the homework, but the knowledge gained and used in the real world is definitely worth it! Anyways, expect a challenge and a lot of learning. Also, recommend taking AGB260 before taking this. Helps alot!

Fine teacher, but a little dry in the presentation. I wouldnt suggest having her at 8:00 in the morning, might be difficult staying awake.
