Professor Lee is so sweet and will totally go out of her way to help you (ie: let you turn in assignments at office hours, etc.). This class is really easy if you do the observations and actually put an effort into them. The lectures are entertaining and Professor Lee makes them go by really fast. The midterm and final come directly from the lectures and powerpoints.

She was a funny and nice teacher but all she does is talk about her children! Its an extremely boring class and I would have rather not taken it. Not a teacher that is very good at teaching but just loves it and her students so much anyways. Her tests are harder than you would expect and she grades tough on assignments that should be based on your own opinion. She reads everything now matter how long the assignment is and she marks off points for saying the wrong word. She's a tough grader but shouldn't be, it's such an easy class that its stupid how tough she is.

Linda is a funny and great teacher! She always has funny stories to tell about her kids and takes time to help you if you have questions about babysitting or working with children. Take this class it is fun and pretty easy if you study/review for tests and exams!

Dr. Lee is very enthusiastic and passionate about what she teaches. The image that pops up when you think of her would be her smiling or laughing. She may get off topic sometimes, but they're never boring stories, and always gets you pay more attention to the class or laugh it off a little when you get tired. She gives you breaks if it is a two hour class. Her power points are simple, and she elaborates on them while she lectures. Her exams are not hard, but you would need to actually study your notes to receive an A. If you at least read over them a couple of times, you are most likely going to get a B on the exam. She really cares about her students and does read every assignment we turn in, no matter how long it is. She also memorizes all students' names and uses each student as an example, so that everyone can get involved at some point. Overall, her class is really enjoyable, and you will really like her!

Linda Lee is by far my favorite professor at Cal Poly. The material of the class is not very interesting, and she knows it. But, she tries to make it as fun as possible by playing games and allowing small group discussions. She even gives you prizes and extra credit for certain things!!! She is really funny and really easy to talk to. If you have a question on any one of your assignments, you can go into her office hours and get help. The tests are not hard at all. Granted, you need to pay attention in class if you want to get an A. I hardly studied for either of the exams, and got high As on both of them. Just go to class, pay attention, and interact. She loves when students speak up. She is an amazing teacher and I couldn't think of a better professor to have during my freshman year to give me motivation in the Child Development field.

Dr. Lee is very sweet and funny. She is extremely approachable, I always felt comfortable going to her for help. She explained all of the course material clearly. As long as you pay attention and take notes in class the exams will not be difficult. Dr. Lee is extremely passionate about child development and works hard to make the material interesting. If you have the option of taking a class with her I would highly recommend it!

Dr. Lee is an amazing professor who is funny, helpful, and really cares about her students. For 131, the material itself is a bit dry but she makes the lectures interesting with stories and examples. For the observation write-ups, follow the prompts and include a lot of detail and you'll be fine. Also, the midterm and final are very straightforward and based mainly on the lecture notes. Dr. Lee is very approachable and always willing to help. Take this professor whenever you have the chance!

If you have the opportunity to take Lee, DO IT. She's definitely the best professor i've had so far. Her lectures are super entertaining and easy to understand. All of her stuff is online so its easy to miss class, but she does attendance stuff each class and those will add up. There's 3 tests and an optional final plus a discussion question online each week (as long as you do it you'll get 100% on it). I put in very minimal effort and got a B, definitely could've gotten an A. I'd recommend this class to anyone!

There are not enough positive things to say about Dr. Lee. I took her for developmental psychology, which covered pre-birth all the way to death in one quarter and let me tell you she is one talented individual. Dr. Lee comes to class everyday with one of the best and happiest demeanor's I've ever experienced. She is incredibly enthusiastic, caring, fun and without question, brilliant. Every single 2 hour lecture flew by because they were so entertaining. Dr. Lee truly made learning fun, which is why I believe so many people are successful in her class and retain the information. She brings in guest lecturers, shows video's and has a lecture hall of over 200 students engaged. I found myself unconsciously smiling 95% of the time. She just makes you want to come to class, learn and do well. Her tests, reading and homework assignments are incredibly fair and the final is optional. She gives 3 midterms and then if you choose to take the final she will drop your lowest test grade, which is very kind. Definitely visit her during office hours if you can! She is above and beyond helpful and just a wonderful, knowledgeable and intelligent person that you can learn a lot from. I will definitely be looking to take any future classes she has to offer and if you have the chance to take Dr. Lee don't hesitate for a second!

I loved Dr. Lee's class. She presented material clearly and always had videos, charts, or graphs to go along with what she was teaching. The class was 3 midterms and an optional final along with a blog post about an article once a week. As long as you read the book and fill out the study guides that she posts on PolyLearn for the exams, you'll be good. PS: Not only is the class great, but Dr. Lee is hilarious and super sweet. Love her! I would definitely recommend taking any class that she teaches.

If you have the option of taking Dr. Lee, TAKE HER. She is honestly the most incredible teacher. Her lectures were very engaging and helpful, and she was always making us laugh. Not only did I enjoy myself, though, but I came out of the class feeling like I had learned so much. Her grading policies are extremely fair, and you can tell form the way she sets the class up and is so assessable that she really wants you to succeed.

She was great! She is so funny with all of her personal stories and she really does care about her students. I highly recommend using her office hours. Paying attention in class is not a huge must but she does exit slips so you must attend. She really does care about teaching and she is honest when she doesn't know much about a topic.

Professor Lee is engaging and also hilarious. I really enjoyed this class. If you take time to study for the exams, you will do well. They are fairly easy and straightforward. She also makes the final exam optional which is a big plus, if you're happy with your grade going into the final. Definitely worth taking this class!

I LOVE Dr. Lee! She's so nice and clear with what she wants her students to know. She really knows and is passionate about developmental psychology and she gives a lot of stories from her life and talks about her kids a lot. She shows a lot of videos that are really helpful in knowing the material. Take her if you can!

Dr. Lee is an amazing professor. She presents all her material clearly and is open to answer any questions students may have. In terms of course work, it is extremely manageable. Read the book, take good lecture notes, and review the objective questions and you will do well. Dr. Lee is also hilarious! You will enjoy this class or any class with her

Dr. Lee has been my favorite professor in college and I really enjoyed her class. She is very funny and kept lectures interesting. I took this class as an elective and I am now changing my major. Also not very difficult if you pay attention in class and study the powerpoints she posts online.

Linda Lee was the funniest professor I've ever had. I only took this class because I needed more units, but she made me consider taking up psych as a minor. She presents the material clearly and efficiently and really likes to relate to her students. She gives out a study guide before each exam, and if you know it then you can ace the class. I didn't read the book for the first test, but I did for the next 2 and my grade was significantly higher. Take her if you can, even if it's just for fun and has nothing to do with your major.

Most of this rant-style post was a course evaluation that I filled out. It felt like a waste not to share on here: Linda is absolutely amazing. Her lectures are SO thorough. I'm not a notetaker AT ALL so I was very fortunate to have her instructing this class. She is clear and concise but always makes sure that everyone understands the concepts she's presenting. A fair amount of reading was assigned, though I didn't do nearly as much of it as I should have (reading is pretty hard for me). I feel that the book mainly contained supplementary information which was meant to provide a more well-rounded understanding of the concepts that she covered in class. I had this class as a two hour block, twice a week. Normally, I zone out about 45 minutes into those. This was different -- Linda provided a 10 minute bathroom break half way in and broke up the longest segment with a short "pair-share" activity. Her grading is very fair. I didn't take notes or study and did very little reading. Despite my passive approach, I did fairly well (will finish with a high-B or low-A). Her exams are mainly based on that which she covers in lecture. She's not looking to trick you or bamboozle you. She's just testing to see what you know (or don't). As an auditory/visual learner, all I really had to do was show up every day and listen carefully. Her homework is actually pretty fun (if you like writing). You just have to read or watch some psych related material that she puts on PolyLearn and then post in a discussion about the topic. Super easy to get full credit so long as you have something at least sort of intelligent to say. On top of all that she does to make this class enjoyable for her students, she is HILARIOUS. Honestly, I feel like a standup comedian taught me about Piaget's Stages, not a professor. Dr. Lee is a fantastic educator and an awesome human being. I truly enjoyed her class. Take her if you can!

Linda Lee is my favorite thus far at Cal Poly. First off, (not important at all but needs to be said) she is arguably the most adorable human on this planet. She is incredibly knowledgeable on the subject and makes the material super easy to understand. She also jokes about her kids and relates the material to not only her, but our experiences as college students. Her tests are mainly off of the slide (a couple things are only from the book) and she gives us a study guide of all topics covered on the test before hand. We have 3 midterms and one final but, she only puts in your top 3 test scores so if you did well enough, you do not have to take the final! You have to read something every week and post a comment about it but honestly, I just skimmed it, wrote down the gist of it, and got a 100%. If you have the chance to: TAKE HER!! You will not be disappointed!

So far, she's my favorite professor at Cal Poly. She's so sweet and understanding. Her class is very straightforward and her test questions come right from her slides and stuff she says in lecture. She also gives you the choice of taking the final and dropping your lowest test grade if you need.

Linda Lee is the best professor at Cal Poly hands down. She is so funny and makes this class so enjoyable. I would recommend this class to anyone not only because it is so easy but because you learn so much about life its awesome. You really get to learn everything from infancy to dying and it's really cool if you care about your life at all lol. But seriously take this class if you need an easy A. You have to put in the work, but if you show up to class and listen, do the discussion posts (which are very interesting and easy to complete), and make the study guide she gives you, you are all set. I got a 92 on the first test and a 98 on the second so I have high hopes of getting an A on the third and not having to take the final. LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!!

Dr. Lee is probably my favorite professor at Cal Poly. She is wonderful. Hilarious lectures and she is so helpful. I went into her office hours and she doesn't make you feel dumb if you don't get something. So there is a group presentation, you have to write a paper on that presentation, there is an article summary paper due, 3 exams and an optional final. The final replaces your lowest exam score. Theres nothing really to say but that she's pretty awesome so take her if you can.

One of the best classes I have taken so far. Dr. Lee is always so open and enthusiastic and you can turn to her whenever you're struggling. She'll always be there to help you and guide you. She grades very fairly and as long as you put in time and effort, she will acknowledge that. She goes around the class using student names when giving examples, creating more of a friendly environment. It also shows that she's really trying to get to know her students individually, and make everyone feel welcomed. Three exams and an optional final. If you do well on your other exams by filling out the study guide thoroughly, you are likely to have a chance to not take the final. Enjoy!!

There is never a dull class with Dr. Lee. She always makes lecture fun and interesting and is very eager to hear your thoughts on a topic. I never get bored of hearing her talk. Some classmates I've known feel that her explanations aren't totally clear and that she can be confusing sometimes. I personally don't have any problem understanding her though. For exams, you really have to do the reading and study guide thoroughly. Might seem like a lot but if you talk to her, she'll help you narrow down what's important to focus on. There is a group presentation, current event, and article summary assignment. If you pace yourself, you'll finish with no problem. Take her. You'll love her.

Don't get me wrong Linda is a sweet person who is bubbly and sociable. However, her teaching style is a little too informal for me. I found that I was taking max three bullet points of notes in a two hour lecture, but she makes attendance worth points. Most of the assignments were pretty easy to do but she graded them fairly harshly. The two tests before the final were super easy, then the final came and it had ridiculously specific questions to what was in the book. Overall, not the best cd class
