Muleta is a good teacher. He can be a little difficult to understand at times and the 2 hour lecture was a bit rough, but he does a good job presenting the material. Overall, a pretty easy teacher and would take again if I had the opportunity.

Muleta is somewhat difficult to understand at times, not because of his accent, but because he mumbles. He spends little time on theory because most of the learning comes from the examples. The first chunk of the class is almost all review from fluids (pipe flow), so if you had a decent fluids professor then you shouldn't have much trouble. None of the material is very difficult, just take the time to understand his examples and homework problems. His midterm and final exam questions were very fair, much easier than homework problems (which often required lots of iteration). I think Shikha is considered the better CE 336 professor, but Muleta is also a good option. His lectures are somewhat boring, but he will randomly make some funny comments without even realizing it. Overall, he's a good guy who knows his water.

Muleta was a great Professor. Always very knowledgeable, helpful and fair. There was a mistake with grading on my midterm and he apologized and took care of it no problem. The class had HW due weekly, a midterm and a final. Tests were easier than HW and were straightforward. Overall a great guy.

Great teacher, very straightforward. I had him for lab and he gave a nice clear explanation what the point of each lab was, and what we should learn from it - so we actually learned from it instead of blindly doing crap we had no idea about. He had a lab final and it was very practical and straightforward. I've heard his tests for lectures are the same. I look forward to taking 440 with him. Definitely try to take his classes if he's offered.

Lectures and tests are straightforward. Print his notes out right before class (that's when he uploads them to BB) and copy down the example problems. Homework isn't too bad. "Cheat sheet" for the midterm and final.

Basically everyone has already said all there is. Good instructor. Sometimes difficult to understand but his office hours help. Tests aren't too bad. Homework can be confusing, but again the office hours combat that. Slides are posted, which really helps for studying. Overall one of the better instructors here. Rahman is nicer, but admittedly she is hard to beat in that category.

I've had Dr. Muleta for 440 and 434 as well. He's a great professor and challenges his students. Compared to Rahman, who literally gives you all the necessary information to get an A, Muleta gives you most of the information and lets you work for the A. His accent is a little strong but it's easy to get used to in a couple of weeks. He wants his students to do well and chooses real world examples for his upper division classes. For 435 (Hydrology), we used SLO data for a lot of our homework problems. Very nice guy who's easy to approach during office hours. His exams can be tough but I recommend utilizing every blank space on your cheat sheets.

Muleta\'s classes are straight forward and relatively simple. Water in general isn\'t that complex of a subject so its kinda hard to mess it up. He pretty much just zooms through the beginning of the days\' lecture because its all theory stuff that no one gives a crap about. From their he does an example problem or 2. Homework is a helpful for tests and req\'d so def do it. Mid-terms aren\'t bad. Go to class, do the homework WELL, and you\'ll get an A. If you don\'t know how to do all the homework then go to his office hours. He\'s extremely helpful and wants his students to be successful.

Missed the first day, went to the second day. Went to the midterm. Went to the Final. Three days of class total. I got a B, easy. This kind of shit gives our school a bad name.
