Interesting class. Most of the stuff I felt was a bit to common sense type, but it was a fun class. It doesn\'t hurt that it\'s pretty easy, 2 multiple choice tests, and a 4 page paper, you don\'t even have to do your own research as she already has data for you.

Very good teacher, motivated, pleasant, consistent, and fair. She helps you get through the text with lots of power points and dry erase board drawings. I'll definitely take other courses with her.

Dr. Langner is an awesome professor! She gives excellent lectures, the work load is minimal, and she's a friendly person. As another person stated, she does give great Powerpoint lecs, and dry-erase board illustrations to support the lectures. The textbook was an enjoyable read, too. I think she could challenge her students more though. The work, and exams were a breeze; her lectures were very enjoyable as well. Thumbs up, Dr. Langner.

Professor Langer is very nice and approachable. However, she can be unclear in what she wants. She explains the assignments are relatively easy and straight forward, but there are curve balls. On her exams there are somewhat fair. Be sure to read the book, especially her lecture notes.

I really liked Professor Langner throughout the entire quarter. However, in the end I was very disappointed by her. I am trying to change my major to psychology which is a very difficult process and I needed to get an A in this class. Not an A-, an A. I went to office hours several times and she was always very helpful and encouraging and told me she definitely thought I could do it. After I took the final, I was concerned because there were some questions I had problems with even though I studied extremely hard. I emailed her reminding her of my situation and asking if there was any other extra credit I could do to improve my grade. Not only did she never email me back, but she gave me an A- with a 92 percent. Obviously this is the grade I deserved and it is my own fault for earning this grade, but she could have at least had the courtesy to email me back and address the issue. Very disappointing.

She's a good teacher! She is super helpful and nice in office hours, but her lectures are usually pretty dry and long (definitely had to fight sleep every class) . The content in her lectures is presented clearly and she always stops to ask if anyone has questions. Also, if you study the study guide you can easily get an A or a high B on the midterms. There's no homework to turn in, just reading that you can just skim. She's a great teacher and there's no reason not to take her! Also, only an easy project and no essays WOO!

Langner's class is incredibly informative and easy. She is a nice woman who wants her students to succeed. Your grade consists of 2 midterms and a final (which is really just a 3rd midterm), 6 random quizzes throughout the quarter (drops your lowest 2), and a small project w an essay write up (pretty sure everyone got an A). Material isn't hard to understand and tests are easy if you do her study guides and review lecture notes. I will say that the class is pretty boring and she spends way too much time on pointless in class discussions, but those are the only negative aspects of the class. Definitely take this!

I am honestly going to miss this class. I already had some background knowledge on social psychology, so it was easy for me. The lectures were all engaging, and Professor Langner is very sweet and enjoys what she teaches. There are 5 pop quizzes throughout the quarter, but they are easy if you do the reading and come to class, plus she drops the lowest 2. There is a project, but it can be done in less than a day and it's pretty fun if you take it seriously. There are no cumulative finals in this class, but there are three "midterms," which are really just two midterms and a final that each only cover that third of the information from the class. Those do require studying to do well, but her tests and her grading are very fair. As for the nightly reading, there can be a lot, but she is very cool about it. She gives a study guide with terms to look for in the textbook and even says you can read just for the terms and skip the rest (we have a free online textbook this quarter, so most people just ended up using "CTRL F" to find the definitions of all the terms. I did that, and it worked for me). This is a great class with a great Professor. Take it!!! (I accidentally posted this in PSY 256 because I always get mixed up between the two, but this is where it belongs!)

I LOVE langer's class!! she is such a sweet lady and explains material pretty well. I found her exams fair for the most part. I think it does get tougher as the quarter goes on, however she does do her best to make study guides for each midterm. A bit of advice is to make a group of friends that you can work on a study guide/quizlet with, because studying for her class that way really helped me. She is SUPER approachable at office hours as well, and will learn your name pretty fast if you show up there a couple times throughout the quarter. The only one drawback I found is that she isn't always the best at answering a student's question very directly. She usually tends to go off on a tangent, but I think that's just because she is so interested in what she's talking about. Great professor/class overall!

Dr. Langner is a good professor. I'm a science major and she made psych enjoyable for me. There is a midterm, group project, and final paper. She offers extra credit, but nothing that will really change your grade unless you're border line. I would recommend this class to anyone trying to fulfill their D5.

This was a really fun class. The midterm was all multiple choice and was really straight forward. The book is helpful for clarifying stuff in class, but if you can check it out in the library, I wouldn't buy the book. The largest chunk of your grade comes from a group project, which really helps you keep a high grade.

I took this class during the summer '16 5 week session which was her first time teaching a 5 week session. She made the essay requirements a bit more relaxed since we only had 5 weeks. The midterm was all multiple choice and super easy. I never bought the book, only went to the library a few times to read it. The book is helpful for clarifying her lecture material but you could probably get away without ever reading it. Overall, I'd highly recommend this class and instructor

Took this course assuming it was going to be a fun and easy A. The delivery of content in class was extremely dry and boring. 1 midterm, 1 group project, 1 final paper. Took nothing away from this course and was quite disappointed. Felt like I was back in a pointless high school GE.

I've had Langner for three classes so far and she's awesome. Light work load, but you learn a lot. She's friendly and approachable and very understanding. Fun lectures. Group projects aren't my favorite but she makes sure they're graded fairly.

What the guy/gal below said. Amen. I too took this class and have long since graduated from Poly, but I was cruising Poly Ratings for a kick and thought that I should pipe in and let you know how much of a joke this prof is.
