Professor Hulbert is a great teacher. It is really important to go to lectures. The midterms and final are based on what she says in class, so make sure you take really good notes. She talks a little fast sometimes, but it is pretty easy to keep up. Overall, the class was enjoyable and not too difficult.

Wonderful teacher. SHe presents the materials in a very clear manner and will reiterate them if you ask. She take what could be a boring subject and turns it into something interesting. The only problem I had with the class was the lab because it was only 1.5 hours long which was NOT enough time to get everything done that needed to be. There was a paper, lecture questions (so go to every class to make sure you get those points), 3 online quizzes (strait from her lectures and are a good representation of what her test will be like), 2 midterms, and a final that wan't cumulative. The class wasn't hard but did take up some time. I had a busy quarter and that's why I ended up with a B. But if you plan ahead and keep on top of the quizzes and assignments you do fine.

Dr. Hulbert is the most AMAZING teacher! I've learned so much from her. She's extremely friendly and nice. She has such a bubbly personality so I think it's practically impossible to dislike her. In office hours she's totally approachable and will try to answer every question you ask even if she doesn't completely know the answer. Her exams are very fair (multiple choice, fill-in, short answer usually) and the quizzes are also really easy. The lab midterms were a little tougher because you have to know a lot of details for this course. The class itself isn't really that easy in general. You have to work pretty hard to get the A. The labs were really, really awesome and she keeps the beginning lecture really short. Even though the labs were twice a week for 3 hour periods, we usually got out early. One time we were only there for around half the scheduled time. The textbook that was required for this quarter wasn't even needed. I didn't read anything from the book. The lab manual is expensive and wasn't required either since Dr. Hulbert just gave handouts. Her PDF/powerpoint presentations were informative enough and she tells you EXACTLY what you need to know and not know. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP UP WITH WRITING IN YOUR LAB NOTEBOOK!!! It is important to actually STUDY and MEMORIZE the appropriate material for both lab and lecture. I used flashcards because there's a lot of different tests and procedures. They worked great for me! I think Dr. Hulbert may be my favorite teacher at Cal Poly so far!!

Dr. Hulbert is very sweet and so smart! she went to Dartmouth for her undergrad and uses current news and knowledge in her class. I wish she taught 224 lab! I think she only teaches it in the summer. Dr. Hulbert is amazing and she loves talking to her students and joking around. go to her office hours!

I LOVED Dr. Hulbert. She is overall a great teacher and you can tell she loves micro. She was very approachable and always willing to help. The lecture midterms really were not that hard if you studied the study guides she gave you. Easy homework every week which will help boost your grade!

I don\'t know if that is the right course number, but I took Med Micro with Hulbert, as well as 224 and 225. She is a great teacher and person. Very sweet, understanding, and willing to help you. Med Micro is a ton ton ton of work. Probably the most amount of work in one class in all of the science department (although i haven\'t personally taken all the science classes). But be prepared if you take Med Micro- by week 4, you may no longer have a life outside of the lab. However, rumor has it that Grady is leaving and will stop mandating the lab. So it that is true, the class will probably get exponentially easier and more manageable. Hulbert is a great teacher!
