Dr. Kidder is an exceptional professor that puts her heart into her subject. Her power point presentations are informative and up-to-date. She does her best to accommodate all of her students, and as a DRC student, I have first-hand knowledge of this. My experience in her class consisted of: 4 quizzes (every other Monday) 3 observation assignments and two novels by Francisco Jimenez to be discussed in literary circles. We also got into groups for discussion and assignments. Initially, it appears as though the point value is small, but they do add up. It pays to not miss a class of hers so you can do well on the quizzes and overall. Read your text, listen to the lectures, take part in the groups and lit circles and you'll earn an "A" like I did. Dr. Kidder is very approachable and is generally available before class. She promptly returns e-mails.

Professor Kidder is awesome!! She\'s probably one of the nicest professors that I\'ve had a Cal Poly. Her lectures are powerpoints, but they are entertaining and informative. You have a total of 4 quizzes (that you get study guides for), 3 observation papers where you work with a child, and literature cirlces. As long as you do the work, you will get a good grade. You\'ll learn a lot as well. Definitely would recommend this to anyone at cal poly.
