I thought Valadao was a great teacher, and I wish I had him for the lecture part of transportation engineering. He's very knowledgeable about everything you need to know, and since he works for Caltrans he's got a lot of good advice if you ask him about the industry. The labs are easy for the most part, and you can finish almost all of them in class, except for the car counting one, obviously.

I only had him for lab, but paul was a great teacher. His perspective on what students should learn comes from his job with Caltrans, and he brings his experience from that to the classroom. he\'s eager to help out and clarify things as well.

Valadao is a good professor who can seem a little conceited from time to time. His assignments can be confusing when first handed out, but he does a good job of clarifying and teaching as you go along. He is very knowledgeable and tries to be friends. Good instructor overall and I would take him again.

Professor Valadao is awesome! He is super nice and is always willing to help out. I would definitely recommend him. The labs are not hard and can be fairly short. There is hardly any homework and the final was really easy.

Paul is super friendly and loves helping students. Somehow he remembered my name in senior design after taking him 2 years ago for transpo lab. Good guy. As for CE 466/467, it changes every year so I don't think an evaluation would do much good. Enjoy the first few weeks because soon you'll be spending every night of the quarter with your group to finish your projects and presentations. Hopefully you'll be in a good group, half of the battle is learning to work efficiently with others. There was also a final at the end which held a decent proportion of the grade. Kind of ridiculous since you'll spend 80 hours completing the project and MAYBE 1 hour studying for the final.
